This morning the UK government confirmed that international cruising out of the UK will be treated exactly the same as all international travel as so will therefore be allowed to resume at the same time as international travel which could be as early as May 17th. They will make an announcement on exactly when international travel can resume on April 12th and so international cruising will be allowed resume from whatever date they announce then. They will be adopting a traffic light system, whereby each country will have different requirements based on their vaccine rollout, covid numbers, etc and international cruising will follow the same traffic light system. I wonder if Royal Caribbean and other cruise lines regret announcing UK only cruises as there is now a good chance they would have been able to offer some form of international cruises this summer. Very good news though nonetheless.

Just wondering what everybody's thoughts on deployment for the UK in 2021, port schedules suggest Independence & Anthem although a lot of people thinking it will be one or the other. From what I can see a lot of UK cruisers would prefer Indy from Anthem - but that's not how they have played it out for 2020. If you don't think it will be Indy & Anthem, what do you think it will be? Maybe Indy + a Voyager Class, or Anthem + Voyager Class? Look forward to hearing what you all think!

It looks like Anthem of the Seas gets back into Southampton the 24th of April 2020, and doesn't sail again until the 15th of May 2020. Is it normal for a ship to take 3 weeks between sailing after a repositioning cruise? Just curious, I'm on the May 15th sailing and can only assume it takes 3 weeks to change over drink menus, crew, native UK supplies, and possibly quick refurb/maintenance/? Anybody have insight or opinion?

I see on Royal Caribbeans UK website that Quantum is going westbound from Southampton to New Jersey in 2014. It looks like a one time cruise so I'm hoping that me and the misses can get on her. Anyone booked for that crossing yet. I am also hoping that she may do an eastbound crossing as well because ideally we would love to fly to New York spend some time there and then cruise home to Southampton.

Royal Caribbeans UK website has announced that from 2014 the Oasis of the Seas will be sailing from Southampton to the Mediterranean. You can book for her sailings now. In readiness for her arrival Southampton is building an additional berth to accommodate her. I can't wait to see her arrive at the port and even better than that is if I get to sail on her(here's hoping).
