We will be arriving the day before we leave on our cruise with the Explorer of the Seas in February. We need a hotel somewhat near the Port or Airport with a shopping center near it as I have lost weight this winter and need some clothes. We will also be leaving the day after we return from the cruise and need a hotel at or close to the airport.

My sister and I are thinking about going on the transatlantic cruise out of Amsterdam. Going to Dublin, Cork, Waterford, Belfast and Delgada Azores. Wondering if anyone has been on this ship and how was the experience? Also if anyone has done a transatlantic cruise did they get bored? We will be on the ship for 16 days and docking in Tampa.

Thank you for your answers. Now I can tell my group of 26 not to worry.

I thought I read a while ago that the electrical outlets turn off when the lights are off at night. Is this true? If so how do you charge your phones at night when you are asleep?

Does anyone have a favorite taxi driver that they have used in Antigua and St. Lucia? We have a group that would like to see some sites, go to the beach, maybe have lunch and drinks.

In January this year I saw listings for Deep Sea Fishing in St. Kitts and St. Lucia for our cruise leaving June 24th. Today I get back on it because 6 have side they would like to go and they are not there anymore. Can anyone tell me why?

We were planning to go to the beach with the airplanes flying over BUT, read that nude sunbathing was allowed. We have a 4,5 and 6 year old going so we are not going to make it. Beware if you have young children.

Thank you ShakeDownCruise for your advise. We know the 3 and 5 year old will love just staying on the ship with the kids program. The six year old is a little shy and loves to be with her 5 year old sister. It will take awhile for her to get use to it. The humidity is no problem to us. We live by the Cheaspeake Bay in Maryland. I do plan to only take them in ports 2 or 3 times depending on what we find for them to do. Otherwise grandma(me) and grandpa will be watching them.

thank you Doug. Will look forward to it.

Thank you for the beach information.

Thank you for the information. I know the little ones want to go to the Butterfly Farm in St Maarten. I will look up and Wildlife reserve and Sugar plantation train. I read this weekend that the airline that fly over the beach is going to discontinue it. That was one thing the kids wanted to see. I hope they don't.
Thank you again.
