Got my upgrade and didn't loose my original promo!! I am happy now since I will have a balcony! I also got my Ginger Root pills, so I am ready. I cannot wait for this sail...thanks everyone!!

Great, I have a lot of magnets that we use when we sail with Disney and I was wondering the same thing....I just make sure not to bring any "Mouse ears"!!!!

So how does an upgrade works? ....it doesn't make sence. If you booked with a promotion (kids sail free) you can't upgrade unless you opt out of the promo??

Here it is. I got Ocean view because they didn't have any balconies available at that time. I much prefer balconies. I paid let's say $4800 for 4 people, kids sail free. I checked yesterday(web)for a balconies and some are available, at $5150... That price show that 3rd and 4rd person does not pay.(only taxes) so I called and ask if I could switch and pay the extra XXX money...only to be told that I would be charge for 3rd n 4rd person. So my difference in pay is about $2500. That is my problem, why I cannot just have the same price the website shows?

Yes, I get the after final payment you can't get the price adjusted (which is BS, but ok) But I also try to upgrade and the prices on their web was only $400 difference. When I called she gave me a $2,300 difference, so I question that, and she told me that I could not use a promotion with the upgrade ... Even tho RCI is having the same promotion now. I have kids sail free. The price I saw yesterday was also with 3 & 4 person free.... So why I cannot do that?

I also try to upgrade but they will not honor the promotion I have when I booked even tho they are running the same promo now... Go figure?? I am not very happy !!

So I was checking on our coming cruise for a better room when I saw that a stateroom in the same category that I have (same deck as well) was cheaper. I always read that if prices drop you get a credit. But big surprise when they told me that they don't do that.... So how other people get those credits?? And what do you do of you price drop but they won't do anything...

Just wondering if RCI does anything special on July 4th?.... We have a birthday to celebrate but it is a bittersweet day for us.... Not interested in seeing fireworks as brings not so good memories to us. So, any celebrations on board?

I rather a delay on boarding that getting sick.... Been there and it is a nightmare !! Got a 24 hours lockup in my room, with a bad stomach ache!! Clean, clean , clean before boarding!!!

Hummm. Now am not sure that I will even try JR when we go on the Explorer.... That only leaves the Italian restaurant to try out. I think We will stick with MDR as the Explorer doesn't have ALL those other restaurants that the web keep showing!!...

Does anyone know of the Ships will televised the World Cup?? I just check the schedule and the semi-finals will be the week that I am on the Explorer. I am in complete panic mode and haven't event told my hubby yet!!!

We are going on the Explorer of the Seas, sailing from NJ and we are saving on airline tickets..... A friend convinces us on going with them. But after doing the research, I notice that this is an old and bit small ship and doesn't have as many great things as other RCI ships. So like I said, not sure that we are measuring apples with apples, but I don't know.... Never sailed with RCI before and I really hope to have a great time since I much rather save on airline fairs.

We sailed with the Fantasy a year ago and we looooved it! It was also the last week in April. We stopped at Puerto Rico and since it was Earth Week the entrance to the Forts were free!! I cannot wait for RCI, but I am feeling a bit un easy on a few things, maybe is the ship we picked????........, I feel that it may not measure against a Disney Ship, so not sure what to expect. But at the end it would be a nice vacation after the winter we just had!!!

How do I found out what will be the shows on our sailing?

I was trying to find out the restaurants at the Explorer of the Seas, so I can make some reservations since everyone's is talking about those awesome places....but I can only find 1 restaurant (besides the MDR) does anyone know if there is more than one or just Portofino is available at the Explorer???

I have Disembarked with Disney at Port Canaveral a few times, and it is very easy.... Your luggage have tags with a different characters that Disney provide before AND after the cruise (not like RCI, where you print your own) once you are at the terminal you find your character and your luggage will be there. The whole thing takes about half hour.. Very easy. I do notice Disney have little details that make thing easier but since I have not sail with RCI yet I cannot compare, I am talking about things I know so far. I just want to be very inform on what to do and not take things for granted.... We will be parking at the port and leaving Boston very early to get there on time.
