Hi Deanna, thanks for getting this post started for the July 8-15 cruise. My family and I will be on this sailing as well. This will be my family's first cruise ever. Quantum looks incredible. I am going to be traveling in a Sky Class Suite and pre-paid the gratuities, and one of my questions about this is, if I order room service from the main dining room for dinner, do I actually need to tip since I have already pre-paid suite gratuities? If so, how much should I plan on tipping for this service? We are a family of 3. We have pre-booked the excursions we want to take. We also have the iFly booked for my daughter for a couple of days during the cruise. Seems like things are already booking up, so I am glad that I booked things when I did. I want to book a massage in the spa for my wife, but I don't know when I should pull the trigger on that. Seems like everything is 30% off right now, but I have heard recommendations to go to the spa on embarkation day to get better deals. Does anyone on here have any experience with this? Any recommendations for when to buy? We did not book any specialty dining since it seems like you can get fairly decent food at the included restaurants, especially since we will have access to Coastal Kitchen as well. Is there one restaurant that you would recommend to eat at if we were paying in cash for it? I just couldn't really justify anything extra for food with the options that I saw for specialty. Jamie's menu and reviews didn't seem that great. We don't do sushi in my family, so Izumi is out. I don't know if anyone in my family is adventurous enough for Wonderland, either. Which leaves Chops, you can get steaks in multiple other restaurants for free. Does anyone have any experience taking their kids to the adventure ocean on quantum class ships? I have a 10 year old daughter, she's into crafts, sports, and video games. What do the kids in the Voyagers room get to do through the day/night? We cannot wait for this cruise to happen. We live in Arizona, so Alaska will be a nice escape from the summer heat.
