  1. Have a good trip! I'm on the May 25th cruise, wondering if you could share the cruise compass on Explorer if you'll be in Europe?
  2. We will be on this cruise as well, and first cruise for my spouse and first time on RCCL for myself (it's our honeymoon). We booked the RCCL shuttle between Venice and Ravenna. Seemed like the easiest/safest option to ensure we make it on the cruise, etc. You can book this in advance via RCCL or your 3rd party vendor.
  3. We are doing the same cruise but the week before. I found that booking the RCCL shuttle between Venice and Ravenna was the best option, as train can be risky (due to possible strikes) and it brings you straight to port. Call RCCL or your 3rd party vendor to book. Be careful with your return flight, it cannot leave before 12noon (or around that time) since the trip from Ravenna to Venice is up to 3 hours.
  4. Hello, I will be going on my first RCCL cruise on May 25th (Explorer of the Seas - Italy/Greece/Montenegro/Croatia), and wondering if anyone might have a more recent Cruise compass they could share? The last one in this blog is from summer 2023... Also, anyone know what time the RCCL shuttles run from Ravenna to Venice airport on disembarkation? We will try to book a time once onboard (we booked a shuttle already, but only got a time for the arrival not departure). Thanks!
  5. I also will receive a dining credit from Costco for my May 2024 cruise, but if it is applied as a general credit then what should I do about booking the dining? I would like to reserve a restaurant now for the first night (not sure which restaurant, probably Chops), but the app requires that I pre-pay. Should I just book it and use the credit for something else, or wait to book the restaurant once I'm on board? Thanks.
  6. I booked the 12:50pm return flight to Canada from Venice (I think we're on the same flight of Venice-Montreal?), and called RCCL and they told me that I would be ok and it isn't too early using the RCCL shuttle from Ravenna to Venice. I guess they will book us on the first shuttle, will coordinate once I'm on board.
  7. I booked our flights for Venice (May 2024 cruise) and buying the lowest class (not refundable/exchangeable) saved a lot of money. We instead purchased a travel insurance (best prices for the flights were on FlightHub), so it covers us if something happens (illness, weather, etc). I don't see why we would need to change the flights unless there's an emergency, so it saved us almost $800 doing this. We will also bring 2 carry-ons and 1 checked luggage only to save on luggage costs.
