  1. Hi. I am on Ovation of the Seas to Alaska soon, out of Seattle. Are the electrical outlets in the bathroom on the ships the same standard ones we have at home in the USA? I want to bring my hair dryer. Those hotel type ones just blow my hair all over the place, I can’t style it. Thank you.
  2. It appears that these buses do have a lift, I’d be surprised if they didn’t. My aunt could walk around in Sitka if she had to instead of the scooter. I will ask someone on the cruise ship, too. Thank you!
  3. Hello. I’m on Ovation of the Seas in Alaska soon. In Sitka, there is a bus that takes you to the city of Sitka once you are in port. One of our members is using a scooter. Do anyone know if that bus has something on the back of it to attach a scooter to like city buses do? Thank you.
  4. Hello. First time cruiser. Ovation of the Seas. Alaskan Inside Passage 7 night. I have health issues and a bad stomach. Will I be able to find a basic baked potato and boiled eggs at the Windjammer cafe? Or is everything prepared entrees? And are the entrees full of sodium? I need soft bland foods and I’m afraid I’m going to have trouble finding that. If I order Room Service, am I limited to what’s on the menu or can I order other things? Thank you.
  5. Hello. First time cruiser. Ovation of the Seas 7 night Alaskan cruise. When I sign in, it shows that I can now sign up for onboard activities but they all show sold out. Will I be able to sign up once I board the ship? Also, why do these activities show a price? I thought all that was free? iFly, Flowrider, Northstar. Thank you.
  6. Yes, we have had to have a few things changed using our TA, an age listed and name were incorrect. The invoice only shows my name and age. No actual birthdate or address shows so that’s why I was wondering about Check in info. Thank you for responding. Appreciate it.
  7. Hello. When I check in on the app, will I be able to see my name, address, birthdate, and any other important information needed to board? I’ve read that if the information RC has on their computer doesn’t match your passport information you can be refused boarding so I want to make sure it all matches now. Check in starts next week for me. There are 17 of us going and we did use a travel agent but we would like to see this info for ourselves. Is this possible? Or do we all have to call the TA to make sure every piece of info is correct? We all have the app on our phones but all it shows so far is our name, room, and reservation number. Thank you for your help.
  8. I am a new cruiser. So we can check in at 12:01 am on our check in date? (July 11th for us). But is that 12:01 central time, eastern time, or pacific time???? We are boarding in Seattle, if that matters. 7 day Alaskan Inside Passage cruise. How do I group all of our rooms together to have the same boarding time? Thank you!
  9. That was my other question. A light jacket with layers is just fine? I won’t need a more serious thicker fall coat? I’m just going to be in town, on one boat excursion, and on the Skagway cog wheel train ride. No hiking excursions. Another question which might be a “dumb” question. lol. I love to hike and be in the woods but cannot right now, so will I be near parks and lakes and other gorgeous areas where I can just enjoy the views that are on the edge of town or will I have to travel outside of town for that? My ports are Sitka, Skagway, Juneau, and Victoria. Thank you.
  10. Great information from all of you, thank you. I hadn’t thought of those big rain ponchos, that’s a great idea, especially for the boat excursion. That is my biggest concern for staying dry. Plus it’s cold water and air temperature and if I get wet, ugh, that would not be fun. There is a heated inside area on the boat for passengers. It’s a fisherman’s boat called Sea Piper with captain Matt Stroemer. It only holds 12 tourists so it’s more personal. Super excited about it. That’s in Sitka. I am also getting wool socks to keep my feet warm and dry.
  11. I am going on a 7 day Alaska Inside Passage cruise in late August with 15 family members. I am wondering if I really need rain pants? I have a nice North Face rain jacket and umbrella. Typically I wear jeans and tennis shoes with that. From reading reviews it sounds like there is always a chance of rain (it’s a rain forest). Can I get away with just jeans and the coat above? I am also on a fishing boat for a 2 1/2 hour wildlife tour but there’s a roof on the back of the boat. Can I get away with no rain pants for this cruise?
