  1. Your RC app should be updated with activities and luggage tags now for Day 1 and 2.. some things I noted: Day 1 8pm Free liquor tasting Day 2 Free Wine tasting (Ladies only) 2pm Day 2 Pickleball 8:45am-12pm (Good luck getting rid of my dad here, he'll be playing NON STOP) Does anyone know if the Solarium pool is heated by chance? You would think so since it's indoors. I'm hoping the jacuzzi are open later than 7pm too.
  2. 13 days! I "m READY, I"M READY! My room is near an elevator and on deck 3, which is fine.
  3. Room assignments are now available if you check your set sail pass. I'm impressed they put my room next to my dad's room as we booked separately. Maybe the did it by name!
  4. Ahh ok, that makes sense. Thank you for that info. Our first cruise on Oasis last year was 100% sold out, so we didn't even get any royal upgrade opportunities from our balcony room on that one.
  5. Check your email for the royalUp offers for this cruise-which is really early what I am told. Upgrading to an interior to a window room starts at $30, Balcony rooms start at $65 per person. Disappointing there's no options for suites at the moment, so I'm going to hold off. The balcony offer however is a good deal based on the published rates, so go for that if you want to upgrade.
  6. Awesome thanks, my GF loves second dinner. Also I noticed you were on Oasis last year, we were on the next cruise after yours on that ship last year out of NYC. Oasis is a monster, I'm happy to try this smaller ship.
  7. Is the buffet usually open for dinner on this ship? The app says only Breakfast and Lunch thus far.
  8. Oh ok, so you can just get a room card only and it not being a seapass charge card too. Awesome, I'm doing this-onboard, I'm not calling RC again, I don't care if its another $15 bucks because I buy it onboard! THANK YOU!
  9. OHHH I have to answer!!! Conditions that affect the liver. Things we do not typically see occur here in the USA due to vaccinations, but she was born in a foreign country.
  10. Hmm.. That's a good idea, but would they really give someone two seapass cards? Otherwise I'm stuck with his room key, and vice versa making that a bit of logistical nightmare for when he wants to go to his room. I would think it would be just one card per person, and if you said you lost it they'd deactivate it immediately and replace it.
  11. I did consider that and thank you for the idea. I don't think my 78 year old dad should be drinking more than a couple of beers on moving vessel. The drink package wouldn't be worth for him. Plus I don't want to room with him.. Sorry dad haha. Everyone is going to bring a bottle of wine onboard for me, so I'm going to have 5 bottles for my room-even though I hate wine, I'll still take some softy wine that isn't too rich.
  12. Well I called, and even with a letter from her Doctor's they wouldn't budge. They wanted me to buy the drink package at full price ($90 per day) and for her the refreshment package ($32 per day)-no option to buy a water or café card package for her. I asked if I could have the discounted price as advertised on my RC cruise page ($66/day) but nope. So no thanks to a $610 drink package for a 5 day cruise which would go to waste for her. A LA Carte for me.. I better not hear from a bartender like I did last time "You should get the drink package!" because I think he was annoyed on running my card after 2 times.
  13. Oh, yep, that seems to be the case. Boo. Ok, I'll call them for the exception and provide medical documentation.
  14. Thanks all, My other more sneaky plan is that my dad will be solo in one room, and since we share the same first and last name I'm going to "borrow" his drink package card when he's not using it.
  15. Hey all, Thanks for your time. Quick question-My girlfriend who will be in my cabin on our next cruise has a medical condition that prevents her from drinking anything but hot water and decaf tea and coffee. This includes sodas and any non-alcoholic drinks and naturally alcoholic drinks. I know the standard is that someone has to buy the refreshment package if the other in the room has the alcohol package, but that's going to be a waste of $200+ dollars based on what she can and cannot have. Is it possible to ask RC to waive the required refreshment package for her-Maybe substitute the refreshment package for the water package or Cafe Card? Has anyone had any luck doing so? Thanks!
  16. Yes thank you! I did that last cruise and since I absolutely hate wine I just brought some Boone farm. my GF has a medical condition that prevents her from having alcohol or caffeine-i was told to bring her medical documentation to the ship and I can get the drink package with only the water package. let’s see how it goes!
  17. Thank you Speednoodles for answering my question directly and I much appreciate you. @Ampurp85 I didn’t know the answer to my question, so I couldn’t do the math until It was answered. Ultimately, it’s not worth it.
  18. Hi all, new to the board so please bare with me as this is surely a repeatable topic. Quickly- I was wondering if you can call RC and get one alcoholic drink package and a coffee card for your roommate? My girlfriend doesn’t drink soda, just tea and hot water. I’m not trying to be cheap, it would just be a colossal waste of $30 per day so I can have the $70 a day alcohol package. thank you all for your help and see your in Oct for Halloween on Sarenade of the Seas from Boston!
