Thank you all! I booked the excursion with Victor Bodden for the Zip and Dip Tour in Roatan. In Costa Maya I think we will be adventurous and book the excursion to the Chacchoban ruins with RCL. I hear the seaweed continues to be an issue in Costa Maya beaches and this is our one chance to see Mayan ruins. Wish us luck!

Thanks for the great ideas! We are thinking to do Victor Boden Excursion with zip line and beach break. Hopefully the beach they take us is a good one, any experience with this excursion

Just to give you another perspective, we cruised this past summer with our girls (8 and 10), we had my time dining and for the most part reservations around 7 to 7:45. That worked really well for us, specially on days that we had shore excursions as there was no need to rush to get ready for dinner or they could enjoy the pool and water slides until the last minute. Also have in mind that in the cruise they might be snacking more than usual with all the yummy options (for them it was one of the perks of vacation time). Even with the later than usual dinner option we were able to attend all the shows. I recommend you search on this site for a previous cruise compass of your itinerary so you can get a rough idea at what time are the shows you are interested to see and review your plans on the days at the port so you can try and plan dinner. I hope this help, I am sure they will have a fantastic time no matter what you decide.

We did that excursion in July 2022 and while it was not bad and we did have a nice day, I wish we had gone to Oriental beach or another beach in the French side (Kim Sha is on the Dutch side). Since the beach is in a bay the beach felt more enclosed. The areas is somewhat surrounded by hills with homes built on them. Also smaller boats are sailing some feet away so in my opinion the water is not as crystal clear due to the vessels traffic. In my mind that's not what I expected in the Caribbean, I was hoping to see beautiful turquoise water and never ending ocean and this was not it. I hope that helps, I know it can be stressful trying to pick the right excursions.

Any excursions you would recommend in Roatan and Costa Maya with kids ages 9 and 10?
