Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply, appreciate your feedback. Looks like I have become a sucker to fake-fear mongering. Thanks, Hopefully all goes well

Hi All, Hoping someone can put my mind at ease. I'm seeing several reports online of people getting bumped from their cruise at the very last moment. I've booked a GTY-XB for the very first time - Oasis, this summer in Europe. Is this a common theme now - getting bumped due to overbooking? Reputable cruise blogs seem to be reporting that this phenomenon is increasing (apparently in cruise line communication to investors this was stated, wanting to increase occupancy %) Anything I can do at this stage to help prevent this?

Thanks all for replying. Maybe not as bad as I first feared. Having cruised Wonder last year, it'll be strange for Oasis not to have a Hooked, Wonderland (no big loss), or Mason Jar. Maybe I'll just do alternate nights in Chops and 150...

Hi All, I've booked UDP for my group for our upcoming Oasis Mediterranean cruise. They are all port days except one. Am I right in thinking that the UDP will be of less value to me, as really I can only use it for Dinners? Is port side BBQ open on Port days even? I plan to have a few days on the ship when in port. Being a European myself, some of the ports dont interest me much.

Booking Drink Package when doing main cruise booking

Update - I made my booking (through the UK version of the RCCL site) and booking the drink package as part of the booking was not available. This must be a US only thing. -
Changing photos from App check-in
MoonMan81 replied to MoonMan81's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Thank you! @OCSC Mike -
Hi All, I've checked in successfully with the app and secured an early boarding/port arrival time. The photos I uploaded were just photos from my laptop, taken from my phone's camera with the app open. Am I able to change these photos without losing my early port arrival time? Many thanks MM

Hi, I can't believe charging for towels is still a thing in 2023, but leaving that aside, can anyone advise whether, for instance, if I take out 3 towels for the pool deck using my SeaPass card, and my wife returns them, does it mess up the accounting, or is it ok because we are in the same stateroom? Also, are towels available on Coco Cay, or is it better to pick them up on the ship before getting off? Many thanks MM

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll be sure to look for a family one.

Hi All, We're on Wonder in a couple of months and wondering if anyone recalls seeing if there was a Silent Disco where kids were allowed? I'm seen a few videos where they take place in the Solarium, but no kids in the video. I think my 8 yr old would love this. Thanks MM

Ultimate Dining package allowance for child
MoonMan81 replied to MoonMan81's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
Many thanks. That's really good. We'll in theory have $60 to spend in Playmakers which will be way more than needed. -
Hi All, I have the ultimate dining package for my family. I understand at - for example Playmakers there is a $20 allowance per day. Is this the same allowance for a child who is on the package, or is the amount reduced? Many thanks, MM

That's great news @Xaa Thank you!

Hi All, Coming from the UK, I will need to be up at 5am to check in for my Caribbean cruise to (hopefully) get an early check in/port arrival time. I know that the app allows you to skip to the section for check in/port arrival, so there is an advantage to check in using the app over a desktop. Must I complete the other sections straight away, or can it be left for another couple of hours so I can upload pictures of the rest of my family - I understand with the app you must take a 'live' photo, and cant upload a previously saved photo? Are there any work-arounds if not, as I don't fancy waking my wife and kids up at 5am. Many thanks in advance for your help, MM.

Hi All, Just wondering what's included in the thermal suite on WotS? From a few photos I've seen, it's sauna, steamroom, showers and heated loungers. Is that it? Many thanks, MM

2A1C with luggage at the end of the cruise. Anybody got any good tactics of getting to the Alamo location. Many moons ago I remember taking a shuttle bus, but it was a bit of a scramble etc. Does anyone have any better suggestions about how to get there and collect car? It almost looks walk-able? Many thanks, MM

Checking In, Payment in Full and Booking Entertainment
MoonMan81 replied to MoonMan81's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Thank you @Matt -
i all, I'm relatively new to RCCL and an cruising in August with them. Being a former Disney Cruise Line cruiser, you had to be almost stealth like in checking in, booking activities etc. With that in mind, can someone tell me how it works for Payment in Full, Checking in (to get an early port arrival time), and booking entertainment. I'll be on Wonder of the Seas, so I understand I can pre-book entertainment. How many days beforehand, and what time of the day (Florida time?) do the checking in/ booking entrainment systems open up? Any help or tips are greatly appreciated. Many thanks MM.

Getting from Port Canaveral to I-Drive Orlando

If I was to do this, would there be somewhere that my family could wait for me to swing past and collect them easily? -
Getting from Port Canaveral to I-Drive Orlando
MoonMan81 replied to MoonMan81's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Within walking distance? -
Hi All, Not sure if this is the right place to put this question, but how would you recommend getting from Port Canaveral to I-Drive. I currently have a rental car reservation for the day (our flight home is around 11pm), but would consider something else. I remember from previous cruises getting a bus to the hire car company is an absolute pain with the luggage. I've also read Ubers can be a pain, and perhaps Surge charging in effect. Any other ideas? Any private transfer places I see seems to only be from PC to MCO. Would there be an option for me to get the bus to the rental car location, leaving behind the rest of my family and luggage, then return for them once I pick up the car? Any help appreciated.

I've a question. If I have the Deluxe dining package, can I get the premium offerings for free at Breakfast? I've never seen the dining package include breakfast before?
