  1. The one you posted is eastern caribbean and the one I am doing is Western Caribbean. Do you think the schedules will be the same?
  2. Is that out of Miami? If so, those schedules are so different from everything I found on Compass similar sailings. For example, the compasses I found show cats always on day 3 and 4 with both days offering an evening showing. Your post shows days 6 and 7 with only one evening showing.
  3. I don’t see where I can toggle any other sailing other than the one that I am booked for which shows by default.
  4. I saw that but it doesn’t show cats broadway musical, aqua80 shows, or frozen in time shows. Those are pretty much the big shows the oasis of the seas has.
  5. Just learning this now. The app won’t allow me to reserve my time dining anymore. I reserved only for one of the days (7:15pm) a while back while testing the app. I’m new to this. It sucks that I try to plan in advance and end up in the same situation as someone that just boards the ship and figures it out as they go. Hopefully when we board I can get this all straightened out.
  6. I had already tried this and it was all over the place. Could not find one with same ship route in same destination order and the ones were most similar were all different as far as days and timed for shows.
  7. I see a bunch of activities including times on the app but I don’t see anything about ice skating show times, aquatheater show times, and broadway show times. I was hoping to see this before boarding so I can be ready to chose what time I will reserve main dining (can do now) and specialty dining (can do once we are on ship). Do you think obtaining this information now is possible?
  8. Does that mean that there will only be one showtime for certain shows instead of two showtimes? There is no recent compass for my itinerary so i have no idea. First cruise.
  9. Looking at the compasses I see that each showtime has either (v) or (e) next to it indicating whether the show is for vaccinated guests only or everyone. Is this being enforced at this time? Will the app once on board not allow you to reserve a showtime for (v) showtimes if there is a child in our family without vaccine? Hoping someone can clarify. I am trying to be ready and figure out dinner time reservation times in advance based on what shows we plan on going to. Thanks in advance.
  10. I have a sailing coming up. Every so often the royal caribbean app on the iphone gives a notification saying “Flash Sale Ends Today” and I think its referring to excursions and/or other add-ons you can purchase. The problem is that when you click on the notification it simply takes you to the home page of the app. It doesn’t take you anywhere to show you any deals or anything. Is this a glitch or is this RCI’s way to try to get you to buy more stuff even though there really is no “flash sale”? Thoughts?
  11. We recently went to a local waterpark and the girls had their phones in one of those sealed waterproof pouches with the lanyard that goes around your neck. Best invention ever. Just don’t get the ones from Five & Below. Not great quality.
  12. My wife cannot get on slides because she has developed bad vertigo. She much prefers the beach. However my 14 and 11 yr old will probably enjoy the waterpark. $150 admission fee per person. I don’t mind doing a little bit of the waterpark and then go in chill mode. How would you do perfect day at coco cay so we spend time together but everyone is happy?
  13. Interesting how for Cozumel they recommend 2 beach clubs (Nachi Cocon and Paradise Beach) however neither of those are on the list of excursions sold directly by Royal Caribbean.
  14. Good call! It looks like there will be 3 ships at the port that day which could potentially mean around 15k passengers. Uploading image to this post. Thoughts? I’m guessing that means little french key will be pretty slammed…?
  15. Thanks for all those that have replied. So far I am not really impressed with any youtube videos I have seen regarding Costa Maya. The resorts look kind of run down, looks like there could be excessive seaweed (including smell) with brownish water at times as well. I’m thinking we may just explore the port a little and then go back to the ship. As far as Roatan, my wife was suggested to go to Little French Key so we may do that. RCI only sells an excursion for Big French Key so we may just book that one directly with Litte French Key. As far as Cozumel, I have not looked at anything at all yet. I am guessing where we end up spending the most as dar as excursions will be Coco Cay since my daughters will probably enjoy the water slides and looks like there are decent beaches there for my wife.
  16. Our port days are in the following destinations… Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico Roatan, Honduras Cozumel, Mexico Coco Cay Have not booked any excursions yet. We live in Miami and go to Dominican Republic yearly so I guess you can say that we will not be impressed by any average beach. That being said my wife loves the beach so at least one of our port days should include a beach getaway. Would also like to know your thoughts on booking excursions thru the cruise or separate and if separate when to book (in advance or on the spot when we arrive to port). Thanks in advance.
  17. Thanks. I was hoping it came before sailing. I looked at 3 compasses and all 3 are different. And not one matches my exact itinerary as far as the order of different ports, day at sea, and day they are taking us to coco cay.
  18. Is the compass something I see once they open online check-in roughly 1.5 months before sail date? Or is this something you only get access to the day of sailing? I ask because based on showtimes and days of certain shows, I am trying to reserve my time dining in MDR and will be better ready to reserve for the days I am using the dining plan once I get on ship.
  19. That compass, although not matching mine completely, shows Aqua80 on day one. I was thinking if that is the case with my compass I will try to make the 7pm show that day so that I can make it to the 8:30 pm reservation being made for me on day 1. For my family a 5:30 dinner is way too early unless we skipped lunch or something which I am assuming will not happen with so many places to stuff your face all day lol I would have tried to grab another time for my hibachi reservation but they are only offering 5:00, 5:15, 5:30, 9:00, 9:15, and 9:30 at this time. If Cats is only on day 3 and 4 at 8:30pm like that compass from February, then I guess I’ll have to grab an early reservation on one of those 2 days. MDR my time dining has times starting at 7:15 and going to 9pm. I’m guessing 7:15 is best although we may be rushed since we are supposed to be seated in show by 8:15pm. Day 3 is Puerta Costa Maya, Mexico and Day 4 is Roatan, Honduras. My brain is going to explode. I going to need a personal assistant to plan my trip.
  20. I see from a cruise compass back in February similar to my itinerary (not exact) that the Cats musical is a 90 minute show only showing on 2 nights at 8:30. With an 8:15pm reservation we would miss the show. Is there really this much logistical planning that goes into a cruise? This is my first one but if I have to figure out so many tiny logistical things ahead of time it might be my last. Too much stress.
  21. In November we going on Oasys of the Seas 7-night Western Caribbean & Perfect Day at CocoCay sailing out of Miami. I found a cruise compass on this blog but its from February and the agenda is not the same. For example our days at sea are 2 and 6 (not days 3 and 7), our perfect day at cococay is day 7 (not day 2) and our destinations are also in a different order than that February sailing. (I’ve attached the compass and my itinerary to this post). That being said I am not sure if I should follow that compass to figure out what time to make dinner reservations based on shows we want to see because it may be a completely different day to day timeline and I know the shows are not given all 7 days. For example, cats musical only showing 2 days at 8:30pm. I would like to make my MDR reservations now to get out of the way but not sure what time to book for. I know that you have to be seated at least 15 minutes before show starts and I read somewhere that 10 minutes before the show they no longer honor reservations. How would you handle? I purchased a 3 night dining package plus made a separate reservation already for hibachi restaurant. This is how I was planning to manage. Day 1 - dining plan (reserved for 8:30 at the moment- restaurant tbd) Day 2 - MDR (have not made reservation yet) Day 3 - dining plan Day 4 - MDR (have not made reservation yet) Day 5 - Hibachi (reserved for 9:15 at the moment) Day 6 - MDR (have not made reservation yet) Day 7 - dining plan
  22. I was under the impression that Portside Bbq was not one of the restaurants included in any of the dining packages.
  23. My other question is how do I get the restaurant I want that first night? It does not ask you anything about what restaurants I prefer or anything like that. I want to make sure I get Chops or 150 Central Park that first night. How do I do that of they are just going to randomly pick a specialty restaurant for us on that first reservation? I don’t want to pay for this thing and then find out they reserved us for Jhonny Rockets for that first reservation lol
  24. Thanks for that info. Unfortunately 8pm is not an available time to pick. Do you think I should pick 8:30pm and go to the show around 7pm before dinner? Also do you know how do I figure out which nights are “port nights”? I know the daily destinations but I don’t know when the ship takes off from each port.
