How long after a new ship launches is everything up and running in terms of new shows, restaurants etc. Thinking about booking Star but not wanting to miss any of the stuff onboard. I know inaugural cruises sometimes have this problem, but how long after that does everything usually get going? Thanks!

Can I get room service from the specialty restaurants like mason jar?

If you don’t plan on using a porter can you just roll your stuff to your room, if so can you access your room right away? When boarding do they go through your luggage to check stuff/ is there an X-ray machine like when on a plane?

I need to contact customer service and was wondering if I need to wait till after the 45 day check in or if I can do it before that? Also how far in advance do they know the compass/itinerary because I had a specific question for them about which of the stops we would be there at/ after sunset? Thanks
