Hey all! We’ve only cruised once before, in fall of 2022 on NOTS in the Mexican Riviera and had a blast. Loved it so much that we decided to go ahead and book the next cruise to Norway and the Arctic Circle in August of 2024. A few days ago we were told that our cruise had been cancelled () and one option was to re-book for the July 5th sailing of basically the same itinerary, and that worked out thank goodness! My question is this: our original stateroom was a junior suite guarantee but they transferred us to a regular stateroom and assigned us junior suite 1594 on Deck 10. I’ve been googling trying to find a video walk through of that cabin to no avail…anyone know where I should look? Also, has anyone been on Jewel of the Seas lately and have any tips for us? This is our first European trip ever and we’re SO excited…especially since we were quickly helped to re-book by our fabulous TA, Grace of MEI Travel. Thanks for any and all comments and suggestions!!!

Hi everyone! We’ll be in Cabo for the day next week and have decided that we don’t want to do an excursion…we just want to chill. The things we’re looking for are: good food, free (good) wifi, and a nice view of the ocean/ambiance. Also any suggestions on places/streets to stroll down or fun things to see for free? Since we’re doing excursions in Mazatlan and Puerta Vallarta, we just want to go with the flow in Cabo. LOL. Any and all suggestions welcome!!!

I’m going on my first cruise right after thanksgiving…can you tell me more about the difference between going from the Navigator (which I realize is a bigger ship) to the Jewel? We don’t mind boring and less to do onboard because of all the excursion possibilities in Norway…but is the service the same? Food still good?

How do we know if the final payment due date has passed?

I just looked and the 7 night itineraries are only a few bucks cheaper than the 12 night arctic circle cruise…hmmm…I might be in the market for the 12 night after all!!!

Ah. I think I see the issue. I’m looking specifically for the fjords itinerary…and that one doesn’t have 2024 dates yet. Boo. I wonder if that means they won’t be offering that one?

Hey all…I just checked the RC website and for Norway there are zero 2024 sailings listed…I thought that all the Europe calendar had been released (according to the YouTube video from today anyway)?. This is an itinerary I’ve been planning for for over a year so I’m looking to book it the day it’s released!!! LOL. Help?

Any tips on getting the most out of Cabo without an excursion? We’re doing a city tour in Mazatlan and a resort beach type day in Puerta Vallarta so want nothing specifically planned in Cabo but still want to enjoy ourselves. Would love any and all suggestions!

No, we travel on the 28th, right after Thanksgiving! I can’t wait…it’s my first cruise!!!

I can’t believe this but…the passport shows as delivered now but we didn’t receive it. This has turned nightmarish now as the passport people did what they were supposed to do (they mailed us his passport) but are now telling us that if it was lost in transit, we’ll have to go to a passport office within 2 weeks of travel. The nearest passport office to us is either San Diego or Los Angeles and we’re in Las Vegas! My partner is freaking out even more now…because there’s no way we can make that happen. So plan B…he can use his birth certificate and his real ID driver’s license, yes? Can he get off the ship at Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerta Vallarta or will he have to stay on the ship the entire 7 day cruise? This situation is definitely putting an damper on our travel plans. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!!!

This the the thing really…he’s borderline diabetic at this point so I’m thinking the sugar free options at SB might be best even tho it costs more than CP…lots to think about!!!

We are trying to decide if the specialty coffees at the CP are worth buying a package to have them (either the Refreshment Pkg or the Cafe Select coffee card). Recent reviews in some of my Navigator of the Seas facebook groups have given the CP coffee not so great reviews so I’m asking here to ask you lovely people to chime in! Our other option is to just pay at Starbucks for their drinks which are at least predictable, lol. Are the specialty coffee drink choices at the CP as good as the coffee we could get at Starbucks on Navigator of the Seas? Please give me your brutal honesty. My partner was recently diagnosed with some blood sugar issues so having one coffee a day will be his only daily sweet indulgence so I want to make sure it’ll be great!
