  1. Did you ever get an answer about whether this is an antigen or PCR test at the terminal?
  2. Royals 30 page document outlining their interpretation of the CDC guideline is actually full of discrepancies that other cruise lines, like Disney and Carnival, have not created. The two that are of most concern for us are around unvaccinated children, particularly those unable to be vaccinated. Royal insists on a PCR no more than 3 days from boarding but they will not accept documentation of recovery from a medical provider for children who have recently recovered from Covid. The CDC states clearly this is an option, as recent recovery is the only option for protection for children under 5. The CDC also states clearly that children under two are not exempt from preboard testing requirements but Royal has decided they are... Just been a nightmare to deal with this cruise line.
  3. We are in the same boat! My toddler just tested positive last week and we sail the 20th. Carnival and Disney are accepting documentation of recovery for unvaccinated children but Royal keeps insisting they will not. They said to test him ten days out and if he is still positive we can refund the cruise, which is awful because this is a rebooking from winter break cruise when my older vaccinated teenager came down with Covid. I've been on with Royal for hours about this and then on top of it they reassigned our adjoining rooms to rooms not adjoining or near each other. Another mess I have to clean up not even sure my toddler will be able to board. Makes no sense! Royal claims they are following CDC guidelines to take place in their program but the program clearly states the documentation letter will be accepted AND children under two will also be tested. Two parts Royal is not honoring.
  4. This is happening to our family on Oasis, sail date March 20th, 2022. We booked adjoining rooms and were bumped to two rooms not near each other. After three hours on the phone they offered us side by side balcony rooms but I was nervous with our toddler I do not want a balcony, especially if that is the only way to the other room. We ended up paying for an upgrade to a spacious suite but just one room. We are devastated and it took over 5 hours on the phone. I was crying, my toddler was crying in the background. I wish I could say this has been the only headache with Royal but it is just the latest. We just want to get this vacation over with so I never have to deal with Royal Caribbean again.
