  1. Thanks @cruisellama. I was thinking since it shows up under Specialty Dining Experience, it would be akin to a Chef’s Table kind of thing. Anything you could find out would be great. I sail on Dec 2 on Edge. Enjoy Apex!!
  2. A dining option popped up in my Cruise Planner, Dinner on the Edge, on the Magic Carpet, that can be booked for our sailing on Edge in December. I have never heard anything about this dining experience, nor did they have a Sample Menu to look at. Anyone ever book this? Anyone have a sample of the menu? Is it different than just booking dinner there once onboard? Thanks.
  3. Sooooooo…I did find a YouTube video for the Royal Suite that shows a Lavazza Coffee maker. I did email The Retreat to see if we could get one(fat chance) and the answer was: Unfortunately, we do not have coffee makers available to guests however our suite guests receive In-Suite Specialty Coffee Service and your butler would be happy to assist with your coffee requests. This is an acceptable option that I was not aware of so looks like we’ll be happy ️
  4. I’m fresh off Symphony and going on another B2B on Wonder next year. My DH truly enjoyed his Lavazza coffee every morning in our Suite(so much so that we are now proud owners of a Lavazza Blue). Now, I’m not a coffee drinker myself but did enjoy waking up to the aroma. So in anticipation of Wonder next year, found some Lavazza Hot Chocolate to try out. However, in the meantime, we will be on Celebrity Edge in less than a month. Already packing up my Lavazza HC pods but……SCREEEEEEEECH!! Wait a minute. Is there even a coffee machine in Sky Suites? Or in any Suite? I sure can’t find any pic or video showing one. Anybody know?
  5. Yes, by the time I got upstairs to my desktop, Celebrity's website was updated. Yaaaaaay!!! One less thing to worry about. I've been trying to get on this particular ship since 2020. Thanks.
  6. So do I dare to believe that this applies to Celebrity as well? I have a 10N Southern Caribbean aboard Celebrity Edge coming up in December of 2022. In fact, just got my Cruise Docs today. I see the change clearly on Royal’s website….on Celebrity’s? Not so much. Maybe I should refresh??
  7. Oh so that's why my won't work!!! Your idea is a good one....I'll try it.
  8. Good idea....actually, I did email [email protected] to see if I can make individual Specialty Dining reservations using my 3N Dining Package(RC Suite Concierges spoiled the heck out of me) but it was a non-starter. 2 email replies and a follow-up phone call later(Celebrity called me), the answer was the same: You have to wait until you get onboard. However, I might try sending this request to them for the leg rests if The Retreat route goes belly-up. Thanks.
  9. Thank you so much @AlohaLivin for reminding me of TripIt....I've had this app for over 10 years and last used it in 2016. I resurrected it last night and am having a ball!! What is the biggest difference between the Free version and Pro, in your opinion?
  10. I do not believe Suite/Retreat guests get an email from the Retreat Host prior to sailing...at least not for Sky Suites anyway. This is the first time in a Suite on Celebrity so I really have no frame of reference. I have done Grand Suites on RC so know you are contacted by the Suite Concierge prior, which is awesome. I did call The Retreat to see if I could make Specialty Restaurant reservations(w/Dining Package) pre-sailing. The short answer was No. However, when calling in, the phone prompts make you indicate 1 of 2 things: if you are in a Sky Suite OR any other Suite. That make me think that Sky Suite-ers are treated much like RC Junior Suite-ers, and may not get all of the same perks, even though access to The Retreat is a big enough perk for me. In any event, I emailed The Retreat([email protected]) to request, at the very least, a few leg rests or something similar. I am awaiting a response. So, we'll see what happens.

  12. Thanks....I will start with emailing the Retreat Host and go from there. Our sailing is coming up soon, Dec 2, so we'll see what they can do.
  13. You ain't lyin'!! Those chairs look uncomfortable and cheap. I understand Sky Suites are their 'lead-in' to the Suite category, but it is still a Suite and should, therefore, be treated as such. May I ask...Who do you plan on making your pre-cruise request to? Just curious....I may do the same.
  14. Has anyone had any success getting the balcony chairs replaced with loungers of some kind? I think Aft cabins may have a better chance of getting loungers but we’re in a Midship cabin. Help anyone!!!
  15. Same with us earlier this year on Symphony…..we brought 4 bottles and I carried them all. No one batted an eye. However, technically, they’re supposed to hold 2 for the next leg but don’t be surprised if all 4 go through
  16. IYHO, have you found service/food is not up to par generally on Charters? I certainly hope that is not the case. These charters are not cheap, by any far stretch of the imagination. On top of that, you aren’t getting the same perks you normally would receive as either a Captain’s Club member or a Suite guest. The least they should do is treat ya’ right, feed ya’ right. In any event, primarily, the reason we’re going for it is the experience and music. So I’m sure we will definitely enjoy it…..Thanks.
  17. To be perfectly honest, the real reason we chose Edge was because I wanted to sail with Captain Kate but she 'Abandoned Ship' literally and went to Beyond. Decided not to try to chase the woman down, so stayed with Edge. In 2019, sailed on Infinity to Panama Canal.....a glorious 15N itinerary and thoroughly enjoyed the ship. Have been on Constellation too....never have been disappointed by any Celebrity ship truthfully.....and I think you're right in that the Jazz Cruise lineup sounds like it can make for a pretty packed schedule. But we enjoy the music so looking forward to it.
  18. I hate to admit this(out loud) but I've become a bit of a 'New Ship Snob'....I know, it's shameful....so never seriously considered Summit because it was 'OLD'. But when I became interested in this Jazz Cruise, I checked it out. It looks like a really beautiful ship and I don't think I will be disappointed, even after sailing on Edge first.
  19. Thanks....just got off the phone with Jazz Cruises. We are Elite as well and they confirmed that no Captain Club Perks are included, nor Bev Pkgs, Gratuities or Internet with Suites. If you book a Suite you do have access to The Retreat but Luminae only for breakfast and then it becomes a Specialty Restaurant open to everyone for dinner, for a charge, of course. The same for AquaClass & Blu. The Charter is on Summit which looks like a beautiful ship actually. The prices are are little pricey but think we might go for it. Sounds like a nice Jazzy experience, if nothing else. We will definitely bring wine!!!
  20. Does anyone have any experiences with booking a Chartered sailing, like for a Jazz Cruise? A sailing that is booked by a 3rd party, not through Celebrity directly?
  21. @Sunny_DThis is a great question because we are going to have this situation on our upcoming sailing on Wonder in 2023. We booked a B2B on Wonder in a GS while we were on Symphony earlier this year. Lo and behold! My brother and sister-in-law decided to, for their second cruise ever(1st was a 4N on Mariner), join us as a surprise. In addition, another couple close to them decided to book as well. Happily, and to our further surprise, both couples booked a Junior Suite. Now, JS have access to CK for dinner only, based on availability. However, as @Neesa suggested, our reservations are linked so probably they can join us anytime we eat there. But on top of that, we all got the UDP, so probably will not be eating at CK that often. The Problem: the Suite Neighborhood, including the Suite Sundeck and Suite Lounge….even the Diamond Club Lounge, for that matter. We really want to experience that new Suite Neighborhood private sundeck and lounge. We hung out in the Suite & Diamond lounges a lot on Symphony, as well as that private sundeck area. We even suggested that they upgrade, if possible, to the GS, however, at this point all GS are sold out for our sailing. What to do? Not quite sure but will probably enjoy the Suite perks on a limited basis so as to spend some time with the others. Our friends/family that we choose to travel with are not generally ’clingy’ so we usually have time to ourselves. We have traveled with my brother and sister-in-law before but not the other couple, although we know them and like them very much. However, having said that, still not sure how to handle the situation. One good thing is, since we are doing a B2B, on the 2nd leg we can enjoy all the perks with NO GUILT!!! But we too are interested in how others have handled this situation.
  22. Ahoy there️ We will be on this sailing as the 1st leg of a B2B. We will be with 2 other couples, 1 family and the other ‘just like family’!! Not celebrating anything special, just really wanted to experience Wonder and the Suite Neighborhood. Did our 1st B2B on Symphony back in April-May 2022 and got hooked, on B2Bs that is. Looking forward to ‘showing off’ an Oasis Class ship to my brother and sister-in-law. Their 1st cruise with us was on Mariner. Think they’ll be blown away by Wonder. Also they decided to book a Junior Suite this go round. We’re super excited!! We’re from Long Island and they’re from Georgia…..395 days to go!!
  23. ....and this is what my 10N itinerary on Celebrity Edge in December says, at this point anyway....
  24. Thanks @steverk for the feedback..... Enjoy!!!
