I was sitting at the dinner table on Vision of the Seas and someone asked, "Who has plans for a future cruise?" so I told everyone that I'll be sailing on Radiance of the Seas in October.
The next evening, everybody seemed knowledgeable about my pick and I realized that they must have visited the Next Cruise help desk and asked about it.
It felt promising that all of these seasoned cruisers at our diner table were interested enough to gather some more information about it.
They were a little critical of it though because it's a "repositioning cruise" and because it "goes through the Panama Canal backwards". I have no idea why those are supposed to be bad things. Any ideas?
We'll be flying from our home in Nashville to Los Angeles, cruising from Los Angeles to Tampa, and then we will fly from Tampa back to Nashville.
Two things that I appreciate about this cruise is that when you're cruise is over, you just want to get back home and our "long haul" flight to Los Angeles is done and over with on day one.
The second thing is that on my previous cruise is that we had five port days back to back and I thought that was too much too fast. I think this one has a sea day in between each port day. Awesome.

Hello,
My whole family was born with a sleep disorder called sleep apnea. Simply out, our throats relax too much as we drift off to sleep causing us to choke and wake up repeatedly. The solution the problem is to sleep with a CPAP machine which is a fan connected to a mask and the mild air pressure keeps our airways open throughout the night. One issue with the machine is that it can make your mouth get as dry as the Sierra desert and they have solved the problem by adding a small water reservoir to the machine so that it blows out air with a high humidity level. It's important to use distilled water specifically because this is water that's going directly into our lungs. How would we go about requesting to bring a gallon or two of distilled water on board the cruise ship as a medical necessity?
Thanks,
Daniel

I found the slot machines to be confusing. An employee showed me how to put my Seapass card in the machine, use my birthday as my PIN, and add credits to my account. That was easy enough, but after I added $20 to my casino account and I selected that I wanted each spin to be worth $1, the screen that appeared immediately after that which said, "9 ways to win!" that transformed my $1 spin into a $9 spin was a complete surprise. All my money was gone after two button presses.
