That 9 night looks amazing! I hope they are testing that itinerary and will offer more Galveston sailings to CocoCay in the future!

Explorer didn't have anything scheduled until end of September,  when liberty will already be back. So I'm guessing independence will stay on Texas for a bit and take over for explorer?

We are booked for our first cruise on Liberty of the Seas in September. I have a few questions:

1- We have the deluxe beverage package. Is it possible to just go to the bar for a drink at Sabor without paying the cover? It looks like they have unique options. 

2- Right now, it's $30 to book on cruise planner and recent cruise compasses list it as $30 on board. Does it ever get discounted? Is there any benefit to booking ahead of time, aside from better choice of seating times?
