This may be a really dumb question, but I am trying to purchase the Voom Surf and Stream for 2 devices... to share with my adult son, who is also listed on my reservation. I tried to select both of us when purchasing, and it put 2 packages in my cart, and so I uncheck marked him.. i am assuming that I just buy one package, in my name, and then he will be able to use one device and I will be able to use one device? I don't want to find out later, onboard, that I he had to have his own package , in his name... I know, dumb question, but just making sure... lol

@ashonthesea it seems like there are several folks here on this blog , who go single ( i asked a similar question)... i figure if we get to know folks here... it might be possible to plan to go on some of the group cruises and make friends.... there are also facebook groups for specific cruise dates... so can meet people you might be cruising with, ahead of time.... that is kind of what I plan on doing some in the future, when I can't get someone to go with me!

At what point do most of the ships decorate for the holidays? Do they wait until after Thanksgiving, or maybe before that a little?

The more I get sucked into this... the more I realize its about the choices...and whats important to each person... unless you are rich and can just have it all and not worry about it (not me, lol) I just can't decide yet what I like/ want, since I havent went on my first one yet (Anthem this NYE)......and I am already planning the second one..which will be an Oasis Class ..sometime in Oct/Nov 20/20.... ?

@JennyB from most of my researching so far on the Oasis class ships ( I haven't been yet), 'usually' the CP are the lowest price, then BW and then Ocean view... but not 'always'...and the price difference between CP and BW is not huge..usually 50 to 100 ish per person

Thank you everyone!! You have all given me some stuff to chew on.... another question then..... when choosing a Central Park or Boardwalk balcony....around what floor is better.... still want higher up.. like 11 or 12.... or is more like 8-10 better for seeing/ hearing shows/music and scenery?...

If the choices are between a Central Park Balcony, Boardwalk Balcony or interior with Virtual Balcony... which would you choose, and why....?

I didn't want to hijack that other perfume post with my story... but, it made me think of something that happened to me and my ex husband, many years ago, in Kusadasi, Turkey. We were on a smaller cruise ship called the MTS Triton (of the Epirotiki line). Before we got to Kusadasi, we were given a lecture on the ship, regarding all of these rip offs that would face us as soon as we disembarked. One of the warnings was to NEVER BUY THE PERFUME that guys are selling out on the street around the port. For some reason though, as soon as we got off the ship and was out on the street, this advice magically just disapeared from both of our minds... like a spell was cast over us, (haha). We instantly fell for it and bought like 3 bottles of the sealed, expensive name brand perfumes... It wasn't until we returned to the ship that all of the sudden it hit us and we remembered the lecture. We went to our cabin and opened the sealed packages and sure enough... the bottles contained dirty seawater. We were so ashamed that we took the bottles to a public trash container on the ship and discarded them, so that we did not have to admit to anyone that we had been so stupid and gullible. lol So anyway, I was just wondering if this is still an issue at port's around the world... I would imagine that it is...because obviously, it works... on some of us simpletons at least, lol. This upcoming cruise for me will be my first return to cruising since then (1994).... don't worry, if it still is out there , I will not be a victim again! ? Julie

Hi guys... another question for you seasoned RC'ers.... is there a general type of store on Anthem... not for souvenirs and jewelry and expensive bags, but for sundries.... things like paperback books and magazines...candy/ mints/gum..... little things you forget like toothpaste.... stuff like that? Granted, I know it will be overpriced if they do, but just curious.....

Somehow, i have a feeling that would be frowned upon.... ?

To my seasoned RC friends.... Matt said on one of the blog videos that you cannot take a RC souvenir cola cup back with you again on your next cruise. I understand that this is so that you don't use it to get drinks for someone else (like because they you would have two cups onboard).. BUT.... I have seen a lot of people giving tips to bring a big cup with you (just a generic yetti mug or whatever), so that you can get a big drink to carry around (coffee or whatever drinks you want). So is it that you can bring a generic yetti type big cup with you...as long as its not an old RC souvenir cup?

I love this idea... will definitely be doing that!
