I am trying to decide where I would like to be on the ship (once I decide between two different cruises). I love the Solarium and will either be on Symphony or Allure. Can anyone tell me for sure if there is access door into the Solarium from the hallways...it looks like there is... but i am not sure. If so, is it on both ships and on both sides of the ship that have a door going out into the solarium at the end of the hallway (where the rooms are). I think that easy access to the solarium is my priority and so was thinking that to stay towards the front of the ship, on the 14th floor, would give me the easiest direct access... thoughts?

ohhh so it is not the beach that is down the hill from the ruins, that I see in all of the photos and videos? I am just worried about heat ... being August in Mexico lol That is good to know what the situation is... how long did you get to spend at the beach 'resort' ?

My son and I signed up for this excursion for our August Symphony 2021 cruise. If it were just me, i would not have picked it, because it seems like a lot of 'work' lol My son, however, has his heart on going to the Tulum Ruins and so we are going to do it. I think they will be cool to see, but am more of a beach person and wish I could just skip right to the beach. From watching youtube videos on excursions to Tulum from Cozumel, it looks like it will be a ton of walking and very, very hot. I got out of breath just walking from the boat to the ferry for our Nassau excursion on last cruise lol. I will definitely be 'training' and building endurance before this trip. Ok .. so my questions are, will we ' have' to stay with tour guide, or will i be able to go early to the beach and rest? Are their any trams or shuttles to help with the long treks between busses and ferries....? Any tips or thoughts by those who have done this excursion??

i was listening for a few to another cruise blogger.. and he was saying that a bunch of the Royal ships were up for sale on some cruise ship sale site... all of the Radiance class ships and such... does anyone have the scoop on all this?

Same Ship even ! lol I had copied this from the 'cruise planner blurb', ; "Savor the savings with the Unlimited Dining Package! For one low price, you can enjoy multiple entrees and visit multiple specialty restaurants every night of your sailing. And as an added perk, this unlimited package also applies to lunch at specialty restaurants on sea days." I had remembered Matt saying before that you could not get multiple entrees in the specialty restaurants , and this blurb kinda confused me...made me wonder if they changed the rules..or if it was different if you had the unlimited dining pkg, as opposed to just booking a night in one of the specialty restaurants...

So around how much would it cost to UBER or LYFT from FLL over to one of the MIami port hotels? I guess since they are so close, that its not much further than it would be from Miami airport? I have flown into FLL once but never to Miami... I did really like FLL ...very nice and I would imagine that Miami is way more crazy too?

Hi friends... we have changed our cruise, which was postponed a year... from Harmony-Orlando... to now Aug 2021 Symphony leaving from Miami. I am learning all over again, except a new location. Im sure this has been discussed a lot but I was having trouble finding , so thought I would just ask! First question... should we fly to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale... or does it matter? We would like to fly in 2 days before the cruise and just relax in a nice Miami Hotel that whole day pre-cruise. Any suggestions? I had thought it would be cool to stay in an ocean view room , that is in fairly close proximity to the port and then take an Uber that morning... I saw a youtube video that said to pick a North Miami hotel for this... but when i looked on map, it looked like the port was not in North Miami, but near downtown ... help please... :D Thanks in advance!

Since our May 3 , 2020 cruise on Harmony has been cancelled, I have rescheduled for May 23, 2021 on Allure.... at first the ship was going in for a redo... then it wasn't and that was the last I had heard... and since my new cruise was so far off, it did not have any info about the dining in the cruise planner until yesterday. So, info finally showed up in my dining area, and in the paragraph discussing the Unlimited dining pkg, it discusses Port Side BBQ and Playmakers.... I had thought that at this point, all of the changes had been cancelled, and that had meant that it would the restaurants currently on Allure like Sabor and such.... now, I am wondering if they still are changing out the restaurants, or if the paragraph just failed to get updated... does anyone know?

I know that no one knows exactly what will be for sure.... but I just rescheduled my cruise (that was to be on Harmony May 3,2020) to May 23-30, 2021 on Alllure. On the RC webpage, they already have all of the 'new' restaurants and bars and such listed as what they have... can someone tell me a quick list of what the current restaurants and bars are...just curious... thanks!

thanks everyone who lent an ear and some good words of wisdom... it was so much appreciated! I saw this today on the Harmony Facebook Page...a guy just posted this.... this is exactly the sort of post that I mean.... this guy just kills me... i mean, its like he could NOT WAIT to find a way to tell everyone that he tipped a thousand dollars on his cruise... (whether that be true or not...)..what an ass..... "Public announcement: Just got off Harmony and overheard some things that concerned me a bit. Tipping is not a Chinese city. The daily gratuities are just a way for royal to tack on charges they really mean nothing for the staff. These people don’t see their families for 6-8 months, sometimes more, at a time and get paid shit. If they actually got paid, say by having a union, the cruise rates would be astronomical. Please consider that when it comes time to tip. I’m irritated by the daily gratuities as much as the next person, but it’s part of the cruise. I probably totaled about 1k in tips this last cruise but a lot if that was in the casino. Can’t tell you what is normal and what is not, just that even if it’s not amazing service I still remember what they’re giving up to try and make my cruise great and that makes it amazing every time."
