  1. I have another entry for my apparently new tradition of finding weird bathroom things. I discovered our suite has a bottle opener on the wall next to the toilet…..
  2. It was close…. Ours too. We have another dinner scheduled there. Hopefully they can redeem themselves.
  3. It’s crazy how each ship has different presentation. One thing, Heather HATES cooked spinach, so she asked for it without that.
  4. Yep, none of the drinks on Coco have hit my account. Our drinks at dinner weren’t charged either. Maybe we are starish class Speaking of dinner, we ate at GT. It was just okay. Heather got the minestrone, and then the chicken piccata. I got my caprese salad, and the prawns. The caprese was good, but my shrimp needed another minute or two in the pan. Tiramisu for both of us for dessert. I might explode soon.
  5. I actually really like it, but understand the subjectiveness of food, and if you dont like the food there, there is even less of a point in going. You can easily find a quiet spot anywhere on the island. That being said, obviously we love it. Like I said, it felt empty there today, I think the 150 people that I mentioned earlier is a high estimate. Sadly, they did kick us out, and we headed back to the ship. Unfortunately I was still at capacity, and a funnel cake did not happen. Sorry to disappoint everyone. I did have this kind of cake though, and it was soaked in rum, so I call that a win. Voucher progress, is in a who the heck knows situation. Jehiel mentioned that he is pretty certain that the voucher slips almost never make it back to the ship, which I think I have read about before. Looking into my account, I can see the much tip I left, but none of the other drinks unlike yesterday.
  6. We will see, because this happened….between lunch and drinks, I’m reaching capacity.
  7. @OCSC Mike, the post you have been waiting for! The food at the beach club did not disappoint!
  8. The beach club is sparsely populated today. I would say less than 150 people. So far I’ve seen 3 tiny humans. One was an infant and two others around 10. It’s quite peaceful. This left group of cabanas, only one of them appears booked. voucher #2 So far drink of choice today are Bahamas Mamas.
  9. Current view. I offered the shore excursion guy at the entrance to the beach club $1000 for an unused floating cabana. I got a curt…nice try….Hey, you gotta shoot your shot right?! voucher #1
  10. Backtracking a bit here for the room tour. We are in GS1278. It’s a perfect size room for the two of us. There appears to be plenty of room to fold out the couch and add a roll away if people have an aversion to sharing a bed. The bathroom is nice and big. I like the double sinks. Getting into the shower requires some effort, it is a VERY tall entrance, so if you have some mobility issues, this room is not a good choice for you. The multitude of mirrors makes it interesting for those of us who stand to pee. You get to watch yourself from multiple perspectives The balcony is a nice size too. Overall the room is nice. It’s taken us a bit to figure out all the light switches. One thing to note, there are no outlets next to the bed, but there are two US and two EU outlets on the vanity next to the bed, so if you are a lounge in bed and scroll type of person, you will need a long charging cable.
  11. Second breakfast. Super fancy yogurt And my usual Mediterranean Plate.
  12. Pheeewwwwwww….that was a close one. We ended up at chops for breakfast. It has essentially the same breakfast as CK.
  13. I’m up early per-usual while @TheBoss518 is ensconced in her blanket cocoon. I’ve wandered up to the suite lounge for 1st breakfast and espresso. I have not decided what second and third breakfast will be yet. I have to see what Heather is in the mood for. In the mean time, I went for opposite end of the spectrum. Here were the choices Utopia is docked next to us looking all sparkly and new. I’m looking forward to the beach club today and plan on putting some hiring on some lobsters.
  14. Thank you so much!! Yes, that picture is what I won!
  15. Earlier, on a whim I grabbed one of those raffle tickets from the jewelry store. I showed up at 8pm for the used Rolex unveiling and raffle event. It’s a good thing I went…
  16. Dinner at Izumi Hibachi was awesome as usual. Heather got shrimp, I got filet. We completely forgot food pictures except for my dessert….I did successfully use up all our vouchers today though so there is that.
  17. We made it up to the suite lounge for a bit before dinner. We had a nice chat with Willy. It turns out that he has zero desire to be a genie. He likes being a concierge, but doesn’t want all the stress running around the ship. He mentioned that this job is a break from his main job back home working at a science lab. His employer there is good to him and allows him to come back in his time off the ship. He likes to have a change of pace. He mentioned he was in Liberty while she was still in Texas and really liked the guests from there. He says compared to Indy, he feels Liberty is “vintage,” but still loved her. He has also been on Explorer and Oasis. We got some pre-dinner snacks and a glass of wine prior to heading to Izumi.
  18. Massages today were good. It was slightly jarring when in the middle of the session, the cruise director came on to remind people to finish the muster stuff, which apparently they did, because two minutes later they played the sound and did all that stuff. Thankfully the hard sell of products really didn’t happen, and we got out of there quickly. luggage was delivered quickly, and we were able get unpacked, and were on the balcony for sail away. I like big butts and I cannot lie… I still think the front of this ship looks ugly So long Miami!
