Thanks to all. Like the idea of him using my sail card and we will probably do that in th future! Not sure what to do..lots of time between now and then so I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens...if they would still let us on, it might b worth just paying the difference...hubby would just have to use his gambling money to cover it since he won’t be there!

When we buy the 3 night package we are given the choice to use the first dining either night 1 or night 2....so when we check out in the cruise planner we always choose night 2 and a time. Since they assign the first speciality restaurant, and we don’t have it scheduled til night 2, it gives us time to change it if we don’t like what they assigned and also to get the other two dinners scheduled. It is good advice to go to one of the restaurants as soon as you get onboard to get the venues and times you want scheduled.

Lol....that would be a sight...me and the grandchild getting dragged off the ship! I don’t know if it’s marked somehow when we check in if it’s a prime cruise...if it is, then they probably wouldn’t let us on....we have other cruises booked, so he will b gambling for sure but if he can’t make this cruise they may either not let us checkin or possibly, charge us the full price and we would have to pay the difference? Hope he makes it but if he doesn’t, my grandchild will be so disappointed if we can’t go.

Just wanted to know if anybody has any idea how it would work if we scheduled a prime cruise, my husband is the prime member, and at the last minute he would b unable to sail or no show. We have the prime cruise scheduled and paid for already for the two of us and my grandchild. He works offshore and there is always the possibility he gets stuck and can’t get in. If that happens, my grandchild and I would still want to go....how would that work if he was a no show...would they still let the rest of us cruise?

Not sure how to update my topic...called club royale again to get further clarification...apparently there were not talking about the actual cruise certificates you get at the end of the cruise....I talked with Julie and she confirmed that as you play and accumulate points, you can cash in those points towards your folio or for casino play. She confirmed, and I asked a couple of times, that cashing in the points does not affect your point total towards Prime, etc. I asked for this in writing and she suggested I email them and their response would b a verification I could take on the ship in case there is any problem with the casino host. She says it’s a new procedure that has been in effect for about a year. I do know when we play slots, it shows your point total and I have cashed in those points for free play quite often just using the key pad. But now I know I can put those towards our folio, we might do that. Of course points aren’t dollar for dollar but it might b a nice way of getting some OBC. It also doesn’t affect the point total for the cruise certificate you get at the end of the cruise, you would still get that. She said all we have to do is let the casino host know we want it put towards the folio.

Hey..new to the Boards but wanted to get some input and/or if anyone can confirm. My husband turned Prime this year and we have already booked our prime cruise. We have another cruise booked for September that we applied two cruise certificates, one for each of us. I just called club royal and wanted to see if we could apply the new May 2019 offer to the September cruise and spoke with Trisha. She was very helpful and let me know we couldn’t apply the new one since you can only use one certificate per cruise per person. However, what she then told me was that you could use the cruise certificates that you get while on the cruise to be applied to your folio or as a casino free play. What!! I haven’t heard of this and just wanted to see if anyone has done this? I really questioned her and she explained that there are many people who get off the ship and can’t ever use the certificate so now you can apply it to your folio before leaving the ship or go to the casino host and use it as free play! This would be a great addition if true...can anyone confirm if they have tried this? And what was your success rate....my guess is that there would be a lot of confusion on the ship if they don’t know about this....and it might b difficult to get but maybe the casino host could help...or maybe I am just not understanding this the right way...I do get confused easily...LOL....
