My wife and I are on the Spectrum of the Seas sailing from Barcelona to Dubai and also Dubai to Singapore.  We have booked the Petra cruise thru RCL as the cost was similar to other offerings.  We would very much welcome sharing some small group tours with others on this sailing.

Regarding feeding the seals - DO NOT feed the seals.  They are cute, but they can come out of the water and take a bite out of a young person !

I live in Victoria.  A few suggestions are: 1. Bug Zoo 2. Miniature World 3. Beacon Hill Park (petting zoo) 4. Harbour ferry or Water taxi tours of the inner harbour 5. Fishermans wharf - real close to Cruise Port. 6. Walk to the end of Ogden pier (where the ship docks) 7. Go whale watching.  8. Royal BC Musem (quite interactive)and IMAX. All these are very close together.

I live in Victoria.  It is very close from the cruise ship terminal to the whale watching companies.  When you search the various companies, you should look at the type of boat they use - ie is it an open Zodiac style or a larger enclosed boat that you prefer.  They all share the same information regarding where the whales have been sighted that day.  I'm sure you will have a great time on the water.
