  1. You get an invite in your stateroom. I think it's for anyone that has sailed before. It's usually on the first sea day; just look for it in the Cruise Compass. If you don't formally get an invite walk in like you own the place. No one asked to see my card or invitation ?
  2. They have the updated ship models for sale. You too can subtly advertise.
  3. I wonder if Super Mario has enough blocks by now to build an igloo. To kill time and avoid sparkling in the sun, strolled in the promenade and checked out the new ShipShop. #comeseek the Crown beacon
  4. Top tier numbers: Gold: 1300? Platinum: 470? Emerald: 213 Diamond: 436 Diamond+: 185 Pinnacle: 44 Top 3 cruisers had 8369, 3180, 2595 points respectively. Win goes to Super Mario. Shocked, I tell you.
  5. Then it was off to the top tier party. It was held in Studio B..so bonus score, no sun and air conditioning! And free drinks.. I ran into the Hochbergs and @Matt bought me a free bloody mary. What a guy!
  6. I attended the Meet & Mingle held in Boleros. They set out cookies and coffee. They did some Royal swag giveaways. My mother is now a proud owner of a Royal Bingo 2XL tshirt ? She lives for this stuff. The next thing on my agenda was the Top Tier party. When you don't have a drink package you.take advantage of this always. Free bloody marys and mimosas and rum punch etc. But first I had time to kill so I buzzed the Windjammer. It was busy as expected but I was able to snag some sustenance and take off quickly. I live for this stuff..
  7. I will test that for you at some point. The front of the sun desk is glass panels all the way around so I feel that probably blocks the wind pretty well. The panels were taller than me.
  8. I checked off 8:30-9:00. It's a sea day...I have no plans. The top tier gathering is at 10:30am and the CC Meet&Mingle is before that. So..room service alarm. They rang the room at 8:11am and my order was here at 8:17am. Definitely worth the few $ cash tip. i always feel weird about ordering just coffee..and I don't really eat breads or any of the other stuff on the menu..but I still order something so it's not as obvious that I am too lazy to walk down to Park Cafe to help myself ??? Pro tip: Make sure to indicate how many of something you want when it comes to things like butter or cream cheese or they default to 1 piece.
  9. I "napped" until 2:45am. Apparently I am able to self-regulate my naps as to ensure I won't miss the 3am room service hanger final call, but not to get up and go around crowds of people. ? I filled out my room service form and hung it on the door. I like to use this as my alarm in the morning. They call your room before your order is delivered. Continental breakfast is completely free and the hanger clearly marks the items that fall under the $7.95 service charge.
  10. Hmm..so where did I leave off last night...last thing I remember was robots taking jobs away from service workers RIP Champagne Bar. At least at this bar you don't have to feel shamed for not tipping in cash on top of the 18% gratuity for your drink? Service is pretty slow anyways. At that point it was pushing 9:30 and I was at the point where if I wasn't actively doing something I was going to fall asleep sitting up. The only options then were passive activities (watching music). The first night promenade balloon drop at midnight is always fun, but I knew I wouldn't make it that long without a nap. I went back to the cabin intending to take a nap so I could go watch the balloon drop. Spoiler alert: I didn't end up seeing the balloon drop.
  11. Yep at Playmakers. Really the best selection I have seen on tap on Royal.
  12. Watching aquatheater rehearsals is a low key way to experience it with zero crowds.
  13. Just for your kiddos..smells like diabetes in there. They don't rotate flavors..this is what they always have.
  14. Food porn..we ordered 12 wings, buffalo chicken crunch roll, and the Playmakers classic burger. Overall this was a bit of a miss. The wings ARE breaded for those who care about these things. My mom complained the wings were small. The aged cheddar in the burger was so aged that it reminisced a Kraft single. The handformed patty I remembered from Symphony is some tough pre-formed thing now. Bacon was crispy though. Fries were steak fries with parmesan cheese melted on them. They warranted a "good". The buffalo chicken crunch roll was the star of the show..think shredded buffalo chicken inside of an egg roll wrapper. Delicious. The waiter resolved the UDP issue and brought the check before the food in which I tipped and signed. Havent seen him since the food was delivered. Note we were a party of 2 in 2 different rooms. He only took one card and put all $22 on it and zeroed it out. I wouldn't pay extra based on this experience but I would use it as an included dining option to stave off food coma from dining in the coveted specialty dining restaurants.
  15. Phew..it is covered. This is new and no one knows what they are doing sayeth out server. At least he's honest. They're practicing in the aquatheater. 80s music is my jam!
  16. I need to snag a D menu and bring it with me. Forgot that draft beer clause. On the UDP front our server thinks the dining package doesn't cover Playmakers. Here we go again ?
  17. Beers on tap: Strongbow, Heineken, Newcastle, Budweiser, Bud Light, Blue Moon, Miller Lite, Brooklyn Lager, , Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin IPA, Terrapin Hopsecutioner, Funky Buddha Floridian
  18. Playmakers is currently showing (Sunday, Nov 24, 2019 at 7pm) Cowboys Patriots, Jags Titans, ESPN+ that is college basketball.
  19. Back to the little boardwalk interactive app games..found them! Very cute touch. So instead of letting the kids play in the arcade..get them a $600 smartphone and let them loose!
  20. Need a unique place to watch the game..they're playing NFL on the TVs at the starboard side hot tub on deck 15. During the day you get that ocean view too. Cowboys vs. Patriots in case you.were wondering.
  21. IMO if you are looking for that unobstructed Oceanview, these are the seats that you need to look for. These particular ones are on the starboard side pretty much right at the entrance of the solarium.
  22. So I am torn on this new Solarium sun deck. It by itself is an amazing place. Plenty of chairs and there are some clam shell things and no children. Kind of similar to the Carnival Serenity deck. However I understand there used to be all this enclosed Solarium space right up against the windows that had a direct oceanview with no obstructions. There is really none of that now. If you go to the size of the solarium there is but it's limited to maybe 10 or 15 chairs worth of loungers.
  23. I scoped. Scoping is awkward. I prefer typing over talking. https://www.pscp.tv/w/cKsEUzFYSmprVnliYXdOS0x8MWpNSmd3cWxCTk1KTNwgahxhNfasq4VvT83YHNqhfdzReFfpYcI-CNNWSjzO?t=1s
