  1. I'm heading out on an Alaska cruise on Radiance next month.  I booked my shore excursions ages ago, and have been periodically checking the prices on them, and rebooking when the prices have dropped.  I went to check today, and NONE of the FOUR excursions that I've booked through RCI are showing up at all in the shore excursions list.  They aren't showing as sold out (which I've seen for a handful of excursions), they just aren't showing up at all.  Almost as if RCI doesn't want me to see them, and see if the price has dropped.  Has anyone else had this experience recently?  This is definitely a new development (if it is a development), as (like I mentioned), I've checked prices on these excursions many times over the last year since we booked our cruise.

  2. Hi!  We're cruising on Radiance next June from Vancouver to Seward, Alaska.  Our ship departs at 4:30 pm.  We've cruised Royal Caribbean a number of times, and usually we like to board as early as possible.  However, I love Vancouver (my family has never been), and I'd love for us to have some time to explore the city before we board.  My concern is specialty dining reservations.  We bought the ultimate specialty dining package (yay Black Friday sale!), so we'll want/need reservations every night.  I've mapped out our preferred dinner times for the week, and they are all in the 6:30-7:30 range, when I'm sure EVERYONE wants to eat.  Normally I'd board as early as possible and head straight to make our dining reservations.  If we wait and arrive at the port around 1 or so (boarding around 2, I'm thinking?), do you think that couple of hour difference will make a big difference in our ability to get the reservations we want?

Look no further then Embassy Suites on 17th street. It checks every box. Total wine (walking distance), breakfast in hotel in am, close to many restaurants, less then 10 min from airport and 5 minutes from the port Everglades. Enjoy

Thanks for the suggestion - looks great!  And we had enough Hilton points that I could book for points + cash, with the cash portion being only $14.67!  Can't beat that deal!!  :)

  4. Hi!  Another person looking for a pre-cruise hotel recommendation in FLL.  We fly in relatively late (we land at 6:45pm).  Looking for something close to airport and port, with a good but casual/fun restaurant within walking distance (we'll have our 11 and 14-year old sons with us) and a decent on-site or nearby breakfast.  Would love for the hotel to also be walking distance to a wine store, but I can ask our Uber driver to stop at one on the way to the port in the morning if necessary.  Price isn't a huge factor, but we will be there such a short time, I'm definitely not looking for anything fancy.  Thanks for any suggestions!

ETA:  Also would love suggestions for that good but casual/fun restaurant for dinner!  :)
