  1. Ya know, I’m not sure if there was a live DJ or it was just an automated music track but the music was pretty much the same as far as volume. We don’t find it loud where we sit but that sorta thing is subjective.
  2. Waiting for top tier event. We rarely bother going but had time to kill before Mason Jar. It’s in Studio B for some reason. Thought it was usually in the Aqua Theater.
  3. And ELF though I know you don’t love it like many of us. I’m happy with any ship that has those 2 venues.
  4. Doubly lucky with Labadee cancelled. Some ships who were supposed to be alone now have company later this week from re-routed Labadee itineries. That said, I was there 3X with Indy/Freedom & it wasn’t bad (neither Oasis class ofc). Hideaway also helps now too. That said, love being there alone & Wonder is actually alone quite a bit. Scheduling quirk in my favor. We’re alone again twice this summer (as of now).
  5. Crisis averted. @GatorCruiser was kind enough to offer to grab my wife some chocolate croissants from the SL but they were out in the CL today.
  6. So many people say this. It’s bizarre that the steakhouse would have the worst filet… especially since I’ve enjoyed filet from 3 other venues & I’m not even a huge filet fan… I prefer some fat in my steak like a ribeye.
  7. My wife did but the pic is on her phone. She added a piece of brownie too.
  8. Might have been heat stroke. I have no explanation. MDR Italian night was unexpectedly good. Arancini (forgot a pic) was crispy & tasty, lasagna actually had meat & wasn’t mushy, & even my wife loved the chocolate hazelnut cake. Neither of us tasted any hazelnut. It was very similar to the molten chocolate cake which she loved on Allure. Thanks for the recommendation @FionaMG ! Apologies for the missing bites. Waiting for Name That Tune: 80’s and trying a “Metalliquor”
  9. Serious lack of eating today. Heat is one thing that kills my appetite & I was too hot to stuff myself at CocoCay. I didn’t even have a funnel cake. That’s unheard of for me. We got back on the ship, showered, cooled off (the a/c is insanely strong in our cabin), & destroyed a small crowd at cartoon theme song trivia (it was nearly all 80s/90s stuff). We gave away one of the highlighters we won to a young boy & went back to the cabin to relax. I planned to hit up ELF but dozed off instead. I needed it but now I’ll be making up for lack of food with CL snacks, MDR Italian night, WJ & Sorrentos… I’d rather have ELF tbh but we’ll see what I find. Nothing really planned after dinner. Still have plenty of vouchers to use.
  10. Missed this earlier. Tell Kenny to send some down to the basement so Alan’s daughter can enjoy her cruise!
  11. Will do my best since @GatorCruiseronly mentioned like 2 items. Methinks he cared more about the bourbon than the food. No judgment of course. I liked it better here when it was cool in October. Feels hotter than it was supposed to be. Think I’ve had 8 cups of mango water so far.
  12. Little from column A, little from column B? Nah, I don’t think so. I’m not a big drinker but 4 spread out over the whole day shouldn’t be a problem. We were going to finish the night with mudslides at the headliner show but there was no server nearby so I have a fridge full of strawberry lemonade Trulys now (couldn’t let my wife’s vouchers go to waste). She had a strawberry daiquiri here at CocoCay at least. Beginning to wonder what the heck we’re going to do with 10 after this but we’ll figure something out.
  13. No food/drink pics from CocoCay, sorry. Too hot & fighting a headache from lack of sleep. It’s very warm & sunny. @asquared17 You have converted me from Tobasco Chipotle to Cholula. You’re right, it is a tiny bit thicker.
  14. The fruit danish was mine. She got a plain croissant since there wasn’t chocolate. We usually do ask with mixed results. But I agree if there are any to be found they will get them. I’ll ask tomorrow if they’re still missing. We have Mason Jar brunch though so don’t think we’ll be eating breakfast.
  15. Thanks. Hopefully no more bumps in the road (besides overeating which is a given). Enjoy the water park!
  16. SMH at group of 8 adults in the pool talking about how Hideaway Beach is $70pp if you book it in person. It has been $19.99-$26.99pp in the planner for months. I get that there are tons of new cruisers but I don’t get how people do virtually zero research. Oh well. I’m sure they’ll have a good time regardless.
  17. Off the ship not long after the gangway opened & it’s empty by the Oasis pool. This is not an early morning crowd & we’re the only ship here. Will use my Bezos holder for something frozen later.
  18. Starting to feel awake & better. Crown Lounge may be in the basement but love that there are two coffee machines & this model can fill my cappuccino to the very top of the to-go cups. One huge negative… no chocolate croissants for my wife, one of her favorite things in the food world. Grabbed her a plain with my Danish & 2 large cappuccinos. Currently drinking them from my Bezos cup holder in the cabin b/c there’s no coffee table on Wonder. Waiting to see how wife feels before we make plans. Normally we get off the ship ASAP. Stay tuned…
  19. Random food/drink pics… Chicken Saag (MDR) Key Lime Pie Desert Pear Margarita with black salt from Schooner Bar (Patron in @Lovetocruise2002’s honor) Goalpost Margarita from Playmakers (one of my go-to’s) Ranger Cookie stash for the cabin
  20. Can’t sleep for a change. MDR started off rough. Took a good 45 mins to get our appetizers after sitting down but the rest of the meal moved quickly so hopefully it was a one-off. Escargot wasn’t hot (took so long, not surprising) but rest of the meal was fine. Wife’s grilled chicken was dry but rest of her meal was fine too. You guys know we’re not big MDR fans so it’s not super important to us. My key lime pie was much better than expected & my wife tried Boston cream pie instead of resorting to her usual ice cream & liked it. We went to WJ after to find half the MDR menu & nothing overly exciting. After dinner we saw InTENse for the 2nd time. Same opinion… it’s good but we prefer less dancing & more diving. Headliner after that… Pete Matthews, comedic juggler. Some of his jokes were funny & clearly he can juggle but not great. CocoCay in the morning so hopefully we get some sleep.
  21. Just lost a post. Short version… You probably won’t hear from me again until the morning. I’m playing internet package shenanigans with our Diamond discount b/c the Black Friday sale wasn’t any good for one device (which my wife & I share). We plan to see the aqua show tonight followed by the headliner. Wife is currently napping otherwise she’ll never make it. Be back with more random food pics & thoughts tomorrow. Thanks to all who are following along. Can’t believe this cruise is only 5 hours old, lol. @GatorCruiser can take over until then.
  22. And you’d know better than I would. We didn’t want to pry but we asked him how he likes it. He said he was fine either way & sometimes change is nice but I’m not sure he’d tell us “I hate it & I can’t believe they kicked me out of CK.”
