  1. Not saying their calculations are set properly, and my casino days are behind me, but it should have to do with house edge and amount wagered per hour. Playing $25 hands at BJ for hours sounds like a lot, but even with crappy rules, the house edge isn't very large compared to say slots and at a crowded table, you're only getting to play X hands per hour. With slots, you are constantly churning your money through the machine even if it's a relatively small amount per spin.
  2. If you plan on cruising more than once in a blue moon, perhaps Oasis now and Wonder in the future when the prices may not be as inflated?
  3. Historically you should have been given free specialty coffee from the Promenade in lieu of the DL machine.
  4. I'll be the dissenting opinion as a WJ enthusiast... I don't find it unbearably crowded either early for breakfast or at all for dinner (I just try not to go as soon as it opens). Lunch is usually pretty crowded. Everyone has their tolerances and preferences though and I fully realize many people don't even like buffets to begin with so not trying to talk any\one into going to the WJ. From a selfish perspective, I'd prefer they not, lol. I also realize my wife and I wake up extremely early and going to breakfast when we do also doesn't suit many others.
  5. A rate showing on the flyer does not mean there are any cabins left at that rate.
  6. For some reason the 11-11 free drinks aren't really listed anywhere but they exist. The suite lounge never actually closes, it's just not staffed 24/7. It should be open shortly after boarding begins. Someone just has to let you in as you won't have your sea pass yet to unlock the door. As an aside, you should receive an e-mail from the suite concierges 5-6 days before your cruise. They will help you with reservations to CK, comedy show, and any other specific requests or questions you may have. Much easier to take care of that stuff in advance, IMO.
  7. This is exactly what I do... will be checking in tonight at midnight in fact.
  8. Many ships are sailing at nearly full capacity. If it ain’t broke…
  9. That was just a covid thing. No need to hope, WJ will have dinner. Enjoy!
  10. There are a limited number of cabins available at the GGG prices. It could be that what you wanted is no longer available. Have you called RC? I booked a GGG price online last week just as I would any other cruise.
  11. Doesn't sound crazy to me. Everyone has their preferences.
  12. Not checking out every included food venue for each applicable meal/time and/or not trying more things before it's too late. Caveat: The food is a big part of cruising for me if you couldn't tell.
  13. I don't even remember getting a pin for Diamond. Getting close to D+, won't be wearing that pin if that's a thing.
  14. Ashley meant if you're in the DL and you order drinks, they will count towards your vouchers. The poster was asking if there were still complementary drinks during happy hour in the DL outside of the vouchers... which of course there are not.
  15. They sure do. I learned last trip that there are pretty large iguanas in the trees/bushes on that island by the submerged bench in the pool. One came out to hang by the edge of the pool for at least an hour. Wild chickens running around too of course (I won't make the standard chicken sandwich joke). Lots of fun wildlife on both land and sea there.
  16. The aggressive seagulls bring back fond memories for me of summers at the Jersey shore, especially if they're going after my funnel cake, lol. Last visit they were landing on top of the lounge umbrellas in the entire section by the pool we prefer to sit at.
  17. You do not want 4 adults in a standard balcony cabin. It's crowded with 2 adults and 2 children.
  18. Agreed, huge fan! The fresh tortillas are a very nice touch. Favorite dessert hack in that area... take 2 of the chocolate chip cookies to the soft serve ice cream machine and make an ice cream sandwich... then eat it at an unhealthy speed before it melts. I hope you also found one of the Snack Shacks. Excellent chicken sandwiches, mozzarella sticks, and amazing funnel cakes. I enjoyed the Beach Club food when my generous in-laws got us a cabana a few months ago but I'm just as happy stuffing myself with the above mentioned food at no extra charge.
  19. If they do, you likely have to call in. Same as how you can't change your welcome gift/beverage preference online anymore and you have to call in.
  20. Not that I’m D+ (getting there), but this sounds like the pre-RoyalUp “upgrade fairy.” Years ago I vaguely remember choosing that I would accept free upgrades but I thought that was essentially replaced by RoyalUp.
  21. That's even better than Indy being the only ship, although anytime you're the only ship there, you'll find tons of empty space. To answer the question... Indy 10/24/22 (only ship on Cococay) - $699 Wonder 6/4/23 (only ship) - $1299 Did I mention above how wildly the prices can vary?
  22. It's 2 coupons for the entire cruise (per person of course).
