Decided to call an audible & skip Mexican night in the MDR. I would have gotten butter chicken that I’m sure is in WJ & there was even less than usual for my wife. She’s napping & we’ll worry about dinner later. In the meantime I went back to ELF before they closed for more tacos (I still won’t eat the guac, aka green sludge). Then got a lime & coconut on the way back to the cabin minus the souvenir bucket. Still not sure if I like this drink or not.

Picky person pizza…

Yeah, I won’t go on a rant about the FL education system but my wife is supposed to max out at 18 (she’s been a little over before but nowhere near 28). Pretty sure 28 in K violates state law.

Lol, no, us poors can’t be bothered with what the elite are doing… The genie guarding the seats dealt with it. I mostly only heard “but we’re in a suite!”

Starting to slack on the food porn, sorry. Unless I want Indian food from WJ or we have plans, I think I’ll be eating ELF for lunch most days. Had 2 tacos & 2 quesadillas (with cholula chipotle of course). Wife went to special order picky person pizza at Sorrentos (sauceless & well done, it’s actually good, kinda like crispy cheesy bread).

Wife’s favorite drink hack… asking a solarium bartender to add a banana from WJ/Park Cafe to her strawberry daiquiri. She usually winds up with a little extra b/c of it…

We sat next to a K teacher from Jacksonville at comedy last night. She said she had 28 kids at one point and just “got down” to 25. No assistant teacher, just her.

Solarium time

I think we saw 80-100K at one point. My FIL wouldn’t go for it though. Not sure if it was the money or sharing one suite with the fam though.

I have done this for a while since we’ve never been MDR fans. I’d rather make a few stops at ELF or WJ or Park Cafe during the day (mostly ELF) and I don’t care that I’m not super hungry for dinner (unless we have specialty dining, then I save room).

From looking at the cabin TV map, we’re pretty close to St. Thomas (but still doing 19.8 kts). I’m not well versed in this stuff, but we left CocoCay over 36 hours ago. I feel like we should be able to get to St. Thomas earlier just be going a tiny bit faster per hour over such a long way. Maybe I’m wrong or maybe others enjoy being in port from 12-7pm instead of 9-5 or whatever. Just some random thoughts. Off to breakfast, Solarium, etc.

Backtracking… One comic was on our Allure cruise in October but fortunately we liked him (both times). 2nd comic, not so much. More often than not we seem to enjoy one out of the two for whatever reason.

St. Thomas today but we don’t dock til like 12:30 so we’re staying on the ship, chilling in the Solarium, playing some trivia, & I need to catch up on my lack of ELF so far. CocoCay on day 2 and then stuffing myself at Mason Jar yesterday kinda took up the food intake. I’ll make up for it on the back half other than being on a long excursion tomorrow in St. Martin.

CL shenanigans with the breakfast offerings. No chocolate croissants for my wife again… which is why I got her 3 the other day just in case (to keep some in the cabin). Also none of those custard danishes with the fruit this morning. No big deal, just sharing. Best CL in the fleet for coffee. They have two machines so one breaking isn’t an issue & love that you can make a double cappuccino that fills the whole cup. Haven’t been getting up crazy early so didn’t make my usual 6:30am Park Cafe run for either a McMuffin or bagel. Just grabbed a bagel & lox in the CL. They’re better freshly toasted at Park Cafe but oh well. I’m sure I’ll have an actual breakfast later after wife is done walking 5 miles.

You know I don’t blame you. I won’t even drive to south Florida. So far Utopia is the only other ship that will have Mason Jar.

Lol. It wasn’t a huge deal. There wasn’t a scene that reached your level of shenanigans or anything… they just needed to be told 2-3 times before accepting that there was a difference between Sky & Star.

Suite snob story… we’re in the comedy club sitting right behind the reserved star class chairs. Two women in Sky Class seemed mildly perturbed that those seats weren’t for them.

I promise there was no monkey in my wife’s pot pie.

MDR was mediocre but we’re still a little full from Mason Jar so it’s fine. Didn’t bother taking pics. French onion soup was pretty bad, beef tenderloin was actually on the rare side how I wanted it & not bad at all, crème brûlée is what it is. We have a 2-top next to one other 2-top & have been chatting with a friendly couple. Tonight the woman asked me if I did a live blog from Wonder in June, lol. She read it at that other site (I cross posted that one, I’m loyal you guys now). Thought that was pretty crazy. She thanked me… but no tip. Oh well. Taking some professional pics so we can get our 2 freebies then going to adult comedy later. Early dining being at 5:00 is making us wait in crazy lines. When it was 5:30 we used to quickly take pics before dinner with almost no line.

That was all my wife with her iPhone 15 Pro & photo skills. Tried this the other day for the 1st time. Royal is turning me into a margarita lover. I always liked the Goalpost at Playmakers but thought this was really good too.

FWIW, shorts & a polo made me more dressy than half the MDR on Wonder the past two nights.
