cruisingcpl
Has anyone done the Bacardi Factory Tour in Puerto Rico during to stop over? Was it worth the travel time?
JFCruise
I did it but over 15 years ago, so take this with a grain of salt. It's your regular "this is how rum is made" tour with a convenient stop at the gift shop at the end. They do sell bottles there that are not easy to find elsewhere. It's nothing special imo, but if you like rum or are curious about the process, it can be fun. cruisingcpl and Ryan79
BallFour4
We have. We also stepped out of the ship sponsored comfort zone for excursions and went on our own. Take a quick walk down the pier to the left (facing the city) and ride the $1 ferry over to a van stop. For another dollar or two you are there. The other route took the roads around and it was a thirty minute ride for our friends back to the ship. We took the lesser cost tour, and it was just OK. We've been to San Juan several times, so this was something different. We also got a bottle of their Limitada rum engraved with the sail date and ship. Neither of us would drink that in a decade, but it seemed novel at the time. . cruisingcpl
