sassafras Posted March 29, 2022 Report Share Posted March 29, 2022 We are total cruise newbies, sailing southbound from Seward to Vancouver, June 10 on Radiance of the Seas. On day five at Icy Straight Point our shore excursion of the Chichagof Rainforest Hike was sadly, cancelled.We were thinking about doing the Whales, Wildlife & Brown Bear Search instead. The term 'catamaran' is the sticking point and a rather loose term. Does anyone know if this is an open speed boat or a larger boat where we would be out of the wind? I called once about this and the rep was rather vague, saying it was 'probably' open because it called for water resistant jackets..... Any help is appreciated! Even though we are traveling in a large family group, this has been a steep learning curve for us. First time fliers and first time cruisers!
