  1. Hi everyone, My future husband and I booked back-to-back cruises in April for a 2-week honeymoon, so excited! It’ll be my first and his second time cruising so no idea what to expect. My questions are: 1. What are ways to make a cruise extra romantic and special for this occasion? I’ve heard from friends around my age (late 20s) who’ve gone on cruises that most of the guests they saw were either older or families, and I would love to meet other couples if possible. I’m also concerned since we’re going around spring break time that the attractions are going to be crowded with more kids and not as enjoyable. 2. Does RC have any “romance packages” like other cruise lines or a substitute? Couldn’t find one online. 3. Are they any attractions on Odyssey of the seas you’d especially recommend? We’re open to trying anything! Thanks and happy cruising, Emzee
  2. I have a cruise booked for early april. It will be me and my soon to be husbands first cruise. I'm not scared of getting coronavirus. I'm more scared that the cruise wont be as fun as it could be because people are scared, ports being closed ect. Just seeking advice from people recently off cruise ships if I should just rebook for a later date and do something else for our honeymoon. Thank you for your time.
  3. Hi all, my husband and I are going on our first RC cruise on May 29th 2020 for our honeymoon. We are doing a 7 night cruise to the Bahamas out of Galveston. We are both very excited but some blogs and reviews have me worried. I’d like to ask you all a few questions I have. Itinerary: -Galveston -Cruising -Key West -Nassau -Coco Cay -Cruising -Cruising 1) Has this cruise normally been done on a different ship or something? I can’t seem to find any reviews on this specific cruise with this ship. 2) Is the drink package worth getting for a 7 night cruise? My husband and I are wine drinkers so the discount for the bottle prices might be great and we are also stopping at coco cay so does that factor in when deciding? We do drink normally as well, not just wine to be more clear. 3) what is this lobster night I keep seeing mentioned in the blog? When is it? I want to do the chef table and I don’t want to miss out on lobster night while doing chefs table. 4) Any suggestions for honeymooners cruising? I want to get the most out of this cruise. We had to cancel our original honeymoon cruise because I became pregnant and gave birth 2 days after our 1 year anniversary. It’ll be great to finally celebrate a honeymoon and anniversary. TIA for all the help. We appreciate it!
  4. First of all, i apologize for the silly 101-questions, this is first time i am sailing and found this board to rescue me. Here we go: My reservation is for the Oasis of the sea Eastern Caribbean cruise (7 nights) on the 20th of May. Occean view balcony (14th deck) 1) Beverage packages: From what i read, there should be some discounts/sale at some point, but it has been 2 months now since i made the reservation and i've not seen any discounts on the packages [ deluxe package remains to be at $55/p) and both people in the same room must purchase it? now my wife(to be) doesn't drink much alcohol, why shall i purchase her a deluxe package, is there anyway around this? 2) I am really lost when it comes to food on the ship!!! I read a couple of topics about dinner and that there are 2 options for that. What about breakfast and lunch? what are the restaurants on board and what times do they operate? are they all included in the package or do we pay extra? 3) In the plan my cruise website, when i check the dining options, the website says I cannot reserve this right now, does it open reservation a certain time before cruise day? 4) It says that the ship starts sailing 4.30 PM on the 20th of May, what is the latest time i can check in the ship? How long does the process take? 5) Internet package - shall i purchase that package now, or wait for a discount as well for this? 6) Do you recommend i choose/buy my off shore excursions now, or wait to find deals on the ship? 7) The cruise itinerary is Orlande, Labadee, St. Maartin and San Juan - Do you recommend any in particular shore excursions? 8) Shall i pay the gratitude package from now as well or do it on ship? i don't really understand the system. Thanks a lot for your help and once again i apologize for these questions, i am sure they were answered 100 of times before. Also if you have any advice for first timers, it would be great. cheers:) Ramy
  5. Okay so my cruise Oasis of the Seas embarking on April 2nd 2017, is my Fiance and I's honeymoon. I was playing around on the Royal Gifts page and found the Romance Package for champagne, strawberries, chocolates, and flowers; and I also found the Just Married deluxe room decor package. I wanted to order them to be ready on embarkation day but when I enter mine or my fiance's name or our reservation number, it says it can't be found and refers me to call. Has anyone else had this issue? Should I just call to add this to our room? Has anyone had experience with either of these gift packages or something similar? Did they seem worth it? Thanks in advance guys!
