  1. Feel free to let me know anything you would like to know/photos of areas and I’ll be happy to post them!
  2. The first drink onboard Symphony!!! Trellis Bar Some Grey goose and Cran for the lady and a little Tito’s and cran for the gentleman. Cheers!
  3. @JLMoran Thank you! She is not going on this cruise though. Just her dad and I for this one ?.
  4. Full disclosure.... As some of you are aware, I started this live blog knowing I might have to cancel at the very last minute... Our five year old daughter broke her tibea a week ago Monday and we had the appt. with the surgeon yesterday. AKA D day! She had been in a full leg cast the last 10 days and we had to carry her everywhere. (She didn’t like that so much!) We are so relieved that the surgeon stated she does not need surgery and she is so relieved she came home in a full leg walking cast! Here is your PSA for the day—-get travel insurance, especially if you have kids ? So the rush is on to pack and I’m up for the challenge! Can you wear shorts at Izumi Hibachi? My husband really wants to wear shorts there hahahaha! We have fresh falling snow this morning here in NH... And I’m outta here at 6:00 tomorrow night!!
  5. What a perfect time to continue.....look what showed up today! New swag to add to our suitcase. Side note--I have not even started packing yet which is extremely odd for me! Now that I have lured you all in, its THAT time... Oh YES, yes it is!!! We need your help (please). We have decided not to do any formal excursions on this cruise but rather, fly by the seat of our pants and explore on our own. We plan on staying on the ship in Nassau but where would you go or what would you do in.... St. Thomas--10:00 to 6:00 and St. Kitts/Nevis--7:00 to 4:00 We don't want to lounge on a beach all day (see profile pic-ha ha) but would rather explore unique or scenic areas and eat local food at a place with an amazing view with a few cocktails! Cant wait to see what you come up with!
  6. To be sincere or to be funny...??? Ive got friends in “Low” places ???. But seriously, love you all and thank you all for following along!!!
  7. I’ll be sure to tag you if/when that happens! I know how bored you will be taking care of my kid with the broken leg! ????. You wouldn’t believe how many people have volunteered your services!!!
  8. As I mentioned previously, this will be our first sailing on an Oasis class ship! So I guess as they say “go big or go home!” We had heard so many wonderful things about Harmony and with the addition of new venues ( PlayMakers, Hooked, el loco fresh etc.) we are positive we’ve made the right choice! ?? Photo credit-Cruise Life Rick I have sailed on Vision, Radiance, Voyager, and Quantam classes. For me each class has its own sparkle and shine! Overall I do see myself as a big ship girl and I am looking forward to being on a ship with a Promenade again! Because we have never sailed on an Oasis class ship, we chose to do another first. No, not a “sweet” suite as my title might suggest, but rather a category 2J Central park balcony located on deck 11. Big thanks to @Matt for letting us all in on the larger Central Park balconies as we were able to snag one! Photo credits-Luis Ortega We will be enjoying the perks of lunch at Jamie’s and a nice bottle of wine that are included with the CPB stateroom . We have never stayed in a balcony that does not overlook the ocean and we are still not entirely sure about our decision but know it will not make or break our cruise! I am really looking forward to sitting on the balcony at night looking at the beauty that is central park! I will end today’s post with a pretty significant first for us..... My husband and I will be cruising completely alone! No kids, no family, no friends! This is US... Someone is..... And the other.... Those who know me well know which one I am! @BrandonOwen @Big Dawg Ron @Wilson ??
  9. @Big Dawg Ron will only show up after I fix this mess bc that’s what family is for! ???
  10. First off because its the most important thing today ...... Its Single Digit Dance Day!! And now for something completely new, from me that is! A Live Blog (or as live as I can make it) from our 7 night sailing on Symphony of the Seas, March 2-9 with stops in Nassau, St Thomas, and St Kitts/Nevis. Just a little background info to get you as close to as excited as I am!! We booked this cruise in July 2017 at NextCruise on Anthem of the Seas! Anthem was the first cruise we had taken in 15 years!! h Symphony was still being built and we were stoked to book our first Oasis Class Ship. I have 9 more days to to tell you all about the rest of the firsts for this cruise so "Come aboard, we're expecting you!" Just, you know, a little larger....
  11. Looking for excursion recommendations for the above. Nothing too strenuous like volcano hikes :) We enjoy catamarans, exploring islands, great local food, and nice beaches to visit but not to stay at all day. If it has a shaded bar/eatery, even better!
  12. Do the coke freestyle machines include sports drinks and/or any other non soda options? When making reservations for dinners, shows, etc online before the cruise, does each person with a reservation need to add everyone else's reservation # to their booking to ensure we all sit together or does only one person need to do that?
  13. Do you need cash for anything on board? Casino, arcade, gift shops?
