Thank you for your replies. The links you provided offered a lot of information. Any shore excursions that are highly recommended? We have a 12 year old son who loves animals and history. On the flip side, are there any that should be avoided?

This will be our family's first cruise. We will be on Jewel of the Seas for the 7 night southern Caribbean cruise Dec.4-11. Any tips or advice would be appreciated.
