I've never used this company, but they appear to be a niche insurer covering travel to FCDO high risk areas including those with advice not to travel: High Risk Voyager Travel Insurance | PS

We are booked on Spectrum of the Seas later this year on a short Japan cruise. Day 3 is docked in Kobe and day 4 just a short distance away in Osaka. Is there anything to stop us getting a train from Kobe to Kyoto, staying in Kyoto overnight and then rejoining in Osaka the following day? We would obviously need to notify the ship, but is there any general bar on doing this?
