We are getting on this cruise on Dec 15th, could someone tell me about Puerto Plata? I booked a walking tour but am thinking about canceling and just having a free day in port?

We are going with my in-laws on this cruise and it is my first time. I have watched ALL the Royal Caribbean Blog YouTube videos and feel really prepared.
