Thanks for the previous post from Jenna. All good choices. Will be looking into to them. Plan on staying one day before and one day after. In past 25 cruises have left out of San Juan for the majority of them. But as you all well know nothing interesting leaving from that port in the near and distance future. Think it has something to do with proposed renovations of their piers. If Royal does return there in the future I would recommend staying at Sheraton Hotel and Casino. Across from the hotel is an amazing venue called the T mobile complex. Look it up you'll be blown away. Thanks again for the hotel info.

Looking for hotels close to cruise port.

Have cruise out of Miami on 4/5/24. Looking for a hotel close to cruise port for 2 nights prior and 1 night after disembarkment. Preferrably one with shuttle to terminal. Shuttle from airport to hotel would be a nice perk also. Has been many years since going out of Miami. Have been a devoted cruiser on Royal out of San Juan for years. Time for a change as ships out of San Juan getting smaller and smaller and itinerary less attractive. Enjoy our Diamond Plus status so will remain true to Royal for as long as able. Any input greatly appreciated.

I realize that. But when we choose BTB cruises there was always several stops with just one port repeated. Now in 24 mostly the same ports 2 weeks in a row. And heard chatter that RCL not happy they weren’t consulted about planned upgrades to Pan American pier.

I have been wondering if Royal is permanently pulling out of cruises departing from san juan. The ports of call are limited and ship smaller. We loved going out of san juan on Voyager class and Freedom and the ports of call were amazing. Anybody have any insight?
