  1. It’s just frustrating to me that employees feel so intimidated by a company management that they feel the need to use this technique. I’m hating the game, not the player.
  2. So we’ve had an absolutely great time on our cruise. Our wait staff has been absolutely top notch as have most of the staff that we’ve encountered on our trip. My complaint is the emphasis that has been placed to these employees on the post cruise surveys and the “please mark all 10s”. We have been asked at least 10 times during our cruise by pretty much everyone that we have encountered to do this survey. I don’t blame the employees. It’s clearly been impressed upon them how important that this is to their ability to climb up the ladder. That being said, Royal Caribbean needs to tone down the value of this. It’s off putting. It’s very distasteful to force your employees to harass guests to fill out these surveys. Traditionally customer service surveys are a garbage metric. They do not represent a true “voice of the customer” but rather are filled out by people who represent an extreme point of view. It’s really disappointing that RCI puts such importance on this toward its employees.
  3. We are on board the Wonder now and saw the contortionist a couple of nights ago. He was great! We also really enjoyed the whole show. We found the cast incredibly entertaining.

  5. PSA - Ticket availability directly from the Alaska Railroad site varies daily. I was able to find Goldstar tickets for our trip yesterday and Adventure Class is now widely available Would highly recommend checking back daily!
  6. Yes!! We are going on this cruise!!! Definitely looking forward to it. Geez, the land excursions are sooooo expensive on this. I'm guessing that's how everything is in Alaska cruises.....
  7. Thanks. The funny thing is that is the date we were looking for. Curious that date is sold out. It begs the question if they limited capacity for the charter train? Also, does anyone have any advice about the Goldstar vs Adventure class? Goldstar sounds great, but that cost.....ouch!
  8. Thanks Matt! Is there any info on if the Royal Caribbean charter train is back in service? I heard that they stopped it with COVID but it was expected to come back. Perhaps thats why all of the bookings are listed as sold out?
  9. Does anyone have any experience with this trip? We're looking at the Southbound sailing and it looks like the railroad tickets are sold out on most days this summer that correspond to dates that RC has a Seward departure. Is this typical that the whole train is sold out this early (looking at July)? Also, I heard a rumor that there is a Royal Caribbean sponsored train? I'm assuming that it is the same train but perhaps they buy a block of tickets? Could that be what is going on? Thanks!
  10. Thanks for all of the info everyone. We're traveling with a group of 6 that got two separate times to check-in. Do they ever release earlier times again or should we just anticipate that these times are set in stone? Thanks!

  14. I’m sure that this has been discussed here before so thank you in advance for your help. We’re planning a cruise in April on the Wonder and we need to catch a flight out of Orlando on the same day we return to port. I wanted to find out what time the earliest flight we could catch out of Orlando would be. I’m not familiar with the area nor the commute time between the port and the airport. Also, when does disembarkation begin for families who need to use the porters. Thanks!!!
