  1. Anyone stayed in this cabin before? Pls share your reviews. Thank you and much appreciated.
  2. Oh sorry. Lol. mean, we'd like for her NOT to experience the long lines.
  3. Is it normal for the people to be standing outside and wait for the doors to be opened at 12noon? That's what we experienced last time when we boarded the Symphony. Our check in time was 12noon but we only got to our cabin at 1:30pm (we went directly to our room).
  4. We are scheduled at 11am for our check-in at the Miami port. Is this the earliest possible check in? Reason I asked is because when we checked in at 12noon at the Symphony of the Seas last May, we did a lot of standing and waiting. We would have senior with knee problems this time around (Freedom of the Seas) and we'd like for her to experience long lines getting inside. Any tips for us?
  5. THank you for sharing the pics! This is such a reassurance. I watched several vlogs that mentioned how decks above and below MDR should be avoided. Thank you for all your replies. I just have to wait for RCCL to assign us a room.
  6. I had the impression that if you stay on the floor above or below the MDR, it'd be noisy. So it's not bad at all? That's a relief!
  7. So we upgraded our cabin from interior to a balcony room, with Royal to choose the cabin for us. I noticed that there are a lot of Deck 6 Balcony cabins that are still available so it is highly possible that they assign us one from this deck. How bad is it staying on this deck considering that the Main dining room is on Deck 5? Can you hear the noise and if you can, how loud is the noise? Thank you in advance.
  8. I checked your post. Thank you for sharing!
  9. Is there a way to buy a whole pack of bottled water aboard the Freedom? We'd rather drink bottled water than soda/juices. How do we purchase it?
  10. Is this no longer required? I already did my check-in but I didn't find a link that requires us to upload an image of the vaccination card. I remember doing it last May in our Symphony of the Seas cruise.
  11. How many fountain soda machines are at the Freedom?
  12. Yes, my son did. They are going to email you that your kiddos need a re-test and remind you through the Royal App. They will ask you to reserve your slot and advise you where to go. They will also provide a printout of the test reminder. In our case, our room attendant left it on top of our bed a couple of days before. Bring your kiddos' sea pass for the appointment. We were asked to go to "The Attic" at the Symphony for the testing and were the very first in line. We were asked to verify his complete name and his DOB. Swab test via nose. We got the results via email after 20mins.
  13. So my toddler would be 3yrs old and 8months when we go on our cruise in September. Does this mean my child can't go to the Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Encounter?
  14. I had both my passport and green card with me when we went for a cruise two weeks ago. I was told to bring both items by RCCL. For boarding, it was the passport that I provided but I saw that those who didn't have any, they presented their birth certificate. This makes me think that a green card would suffice. Maybe you can also bring the papers that show that she applied for renewal and her birth certificate for good measure. Better call RCCL and clarify again. When we got to Bahamas, they did not look for passport or greencard.
  15. As we are contemplating on cruising during the hurricane season, is the Royal Caribbean Travel Protection Program enough to cover possible cancellation/trip interruption costs? Would this cover the cancelled/delayed flights before or upon return and cancelled hotel reservations due to severe weather?
  16. What about end of September? Is the water cold? We're thinking of doing Freedom of the Seas on Sept 30.
  17. Oh shoot. I am not sure if we should go then. My son loves the water. It's what he enjoyed the most in the cruise. He didn't like the cold water coupled with the strong wind when we did Symphony two weeks ago.
  18. Anybody experienced cruising in November in the Caribbean? How was the weather like?
  19. I honestly didn't see the sign but there's a height marker right by the steps to the slide. From what I read online though, it's 48inches. There's a double slide for smaller children in the big slide section at the back that he can use.
  20. It sucks. My son broke into tears when he was stopped by the staff as he attempted to go on the yellow big slide at Symphony. We had a great first experience cruising with Symphony and that was the only negative thing I'd mention about the cruise. I am considering to cruise on Carnival instead because they seem to be more child-friendly.
  21. From what I gather from your responses, a conservative estimate would be $500?
  22. How much is the ideal tip for the porters and excursions? All our excursions are via RC. We don't plan on eating/trying out restos in the ports except those that are RC exclusive like in Cococay.
