Usually, my credit card company involves me when there is suspicious activity.  In cases of a disagreement and some dissatisfaction, they usually recommend working it out before disputing a charge.  I don't think there is any fraud involved... delays, lack of communication, frustration-yes.  I don't think it is as simple as dispute charge - get refund.  I'm just curious.  I have considered the action you have taken but I'm not sure how that would work out. 

    I explained the entire situation to my credit card company and they said it falls within their parameters of a disputable charge. They credited my account and the dispute will close in 3 months. If RC refunds the $ , my credit card company will reverse the credit issued at the time of the dispute.  I am not optimistic about receiving my FCC and hope I don't have to dispute the charge associated with that!

  2. Congrats.  At least you'll get something credited to your card until RC processes the refund and God only knows when that will be. I'm still waiting for my future cruise credit as well! Who knows I may end up having to dispute my cruise deposit if the FCC isn't issued soon. What a nightmare.

    Thinking I might dispute the charge on my credit card. I get conflicting info every time I speak with someone there.

    I cancelled on March 21 and have received no refund yet for prepaid shore excursions.  I get a different story each time I call. Where on the site does it say refunds will take 30 days. Also waiting for my FCC certificate.  

  5. Anyone having trouble receiving refund for cancelled shore excursions made through Cruise Planner? Cancelled cruise on March 21 and no refund to my credit card yet even though RC insists it only takes 5-7 business days.

    Also waiting for future cruise credit certificate.  Have written to and called RC with no success
