  1. Welcome back.... how was your cruise? And details you can share would be greatly appreciated. Also anything about special theme nights etc.... ??
  2. For my more experienced Star Class-ers, do you know if there is a way to request a different brand of water? (Not really a fan of Evian.... hoping for like a smart water option. Also, things like Powerade or red bull how can those items be arranged ? @Lovetocruise2002 @WAAAYTOOO
  3. This video was what made me think there was. It is the only one that ever went in that cabinet but I’ve seen the space on all of the ships that people have done tours on. (Check out 7:50 in the video) Absolutely, my intent is that they pay, however I didn’t know if it would be easier to ask the genie to reserve it or to do it on our own, and I didn’t know how it would work out as far as me not being charged but they are. I will make sure that is in the next communication to the genie about where we want to go for dinner etc, thinking hooked for dinner on night one.... hopefully it’s as good as I’m thinking it will be.
  4. New Set of Questions: 1- Does anyone know if the RLS has two mini bars. I think I've seen in a video that they have one downstairs by the dining table and then another that is upstairs in dressing area all the way to the left, but I'm not totally sure. 2- For the escape room, if I ask the genie to reserve it for a group (My family in Star Class) and other members of my family not in star class (Total of 6 People) how would they work out those not in star class paying for the experience? 3- For dinner reservations for embarkation night, should we have them booked prior to boarding, or mention them to the genie once we are going over everything and the schedule in person? Thx for your help everyone...…….still having a hard time letting go control....work in progress....lol
  5. Hope you’re enjoying your cruise....... how’s Sunil?
  6. So I take it we would have to get one of those every day ??
  7. With the wow bands, I agree, while convenient in some places, I found in others not so much. CK, suite lounge, getting into my room and not having to carry my wallet with the card to the gym were great, but actually paying for anything on board I would have to either take it off or pull out the card anyway...
  8. Ok, this may be the way to go. Thx. Never even knew about this. Primary thing for me was to try to get something more universal that didn’t really stand out like the yellow or royal blue, the black blends and could almost look like a watch. Is the red band the same way as the wow band, where it’s removable ?
  9. with the wow bands, have they started keeping star class one color? I know my last cruise (sky class) I had a black band, wanted to see if I could request the same color vs the blue or yellow that I have seen lately
  10. I will make sure we do that...… ignore everyone that tells us to stop until we get to the flag.....got it...lol I live in Miami, and plan on probably having two larger suitcases with me, so that will be an ease of mind to have them take it upstairs for me. I am in the RLS. My last cruise when I was in the Crown Loft, was a little annoying having to drag the bags all the way up then come back down and do it all over again for the next one. I responded to the initial genie email, he responded pretty quickly actually and sent me the outline email about embarkation day, and what I want in the room etc. I covered the time for dining, the drink requests for the room, the time we will arrive at the port, etc but I didn't get into the snacks we wanted in the room etc yet. I guess I will do that in the next correspondence. I also requested any info on any special theme nights or particular color parties so hopefully he can give me insight to that. Or @Lovetocruise2002 if you remember any theme nights from your symphony cruise?? That should be really nice. I haven't started planning 2021 yet. My goal is to book Oasis 5, the transatlantic when it becomes available to book for 2021. I have Ovation booked for June 2020 and Odyssey for December 2020. Ive never actually done the blogging thing, but I am going to see how it works. I will post pictures etc as the trip goes on. Excellent, I wanted something really simple and social with everything else going on for the first day, so I'm glad to hear it worked well for you. I can see me doing something like this...… I love seafood, and almost can eat it at any time!! This is exactly what I am thinking of having for the room on the first day. Something quick, but just in the time of getting on the ship and getting things set up inside the room etc, things we can grab that's not really that heavy before we head to lunch. I am in the RLS, I will share photos as soon as I have them. Im Excited about the room, even from videos that I have watched about the room, I think seeing it in person will be absolutely crazy.
  11. Should I just respond back to the introductory email or wait for the next email to come with additional questions? My plan day 1 is to have light things like fruit (I’ve seen people with chocolate covered strawberries, that would be nice) and maybe snack type items for the room along with drinks, then we would go to playmakers for lunch. Any suggestions? ( I’m new at this lol) I’ve been thinking this, but still not totally sure on how to do it. Do I just roll my things into the terminal, or is there someone to grab them for me?
  12. Now that I know who the Genie is going to be, when do we start making plans for the various restaurants that we want to go to (whether for lunch or dinner), the items we would like to have in the room, etc? Perfect thank you. Enjoy your cruise!!! Hopefully his on-board communication and service makes up for any lack prior.
  13. ITS STARTING TO GET REAL NOW!!! So today I received the email from the Genie. We will have Sunil as our genie for the trip. Any thoughts, concerns etc that I should be aware of, or expectations that I should have??
  14. I finally Received the Initial survey today!!!! Its getting closer!! I only wish there was a way to actually print it instead of having to strictly do it online in one session...….. any tips??
  15. So, I am trying to figure out which way would be best and get me the greatest benefits. I am going to be on Symphony in less than 50 days, and I am thinking about booking Odyssey of the Seas for next year (Star Class). Would it be better to wait for Next Cruise to take advantage of the OBC that they give through Next Cruise, or just do like I did most of the reservations and call and get the room booked?
  16. Hopefully it doesn't end up going in my junk folder. I usually clear it weekly and every week I end up with hundreds that I just hit empty on. Fingers crossed it will come soon. I cannot wait !!!. From all of the various blogs that I have read about it, it seems like such a great experience.
  17. So I am about 52 Days out and I still haven't heard anything from anyone as of yet. Not sure if I have high expectations or more excitement to get this process started...….. but I guess I will continue to wait
  18. That's sort of disappointing...… was sort of looking forward to that dark blue card …….
  19. A New question that I have based on some of the comments that I have read from others. Is it true that they are limiting the number of appetizers or entrees that you order from a specialty restaurant at one time? For example, I have looked at 150 Central Parks new menu, and there are several things on there that I definitely want to try. In the past, I know I had no issue getting multiple entrees (it wasn't from a specialty restaurant, likewise I wasn't star class) But just looking for some insight. **Side note...…….Its getting closer!!… 2 months away and counting!!!!***
  20. When I was Sky class on Harmony, I did CK for lunch on most days (Just to avoid the chaos in Windjammer) and while I agree the lunch was absolutely delicious with the "status" cruisers of the 50th BDay and Presidents Cruise together, Im sure it will be saturated with the Higher tiers (which I am not...…..yet!!) …. and while I would love to be able to say I have the patience to sift through all of the people...….I know I don't.....
  21. Ok. Sounds like a plan. Playmakers it will be. Should be a few college games on as well, so that may be even better. I agree, I am not trying to make the job of the Genie any more stressful that I'm sure it already is. I will leave the load of ordering for the next couple of sea days (I plan to take full advantage of the covered a la carte menus as well....lol) I am. First Star Class...… Cant wait for the one that follows, and really looking forward to hopefully doing the Oasis 5 Transatlantic. Want to try and circle back to Oasis and Allure also since they are revamping and adding a couple restaurants on those too, but have to see where they can fit..... Have to catch the right deal. On a side note, I saw on the FB group someone mentioned they had $2,600 in OBC through Royal and then transferring to Priceline...… Have you/anyone ever done something like this? I impressed myself when I had $400, but when I read $2,600...…….
  22. That would be my only hesitation, being on 17 and CK being so convenient, that I get tired of the menu. I am thinking more of a Playmakers as an option for the first day. I have seen a couple blogs that for the Key Guests now everything is in the MDR but with the Chops Menu. Is this more because they are allowing more people to participate or they are just changing the venue to keep the specialty restaurant where people with the UDP or Star Class can go and still have seating? Also, the idea of having food in the room crossed my mind as well. I saw a couple pics of someone who had a whole seafood spread (I'm a major seafood lover btw) in their room for embarkation day. How hard would that be to accomplish being that on SY Hooked is not open for lunch that day only dinner? ( @Lovetocruise2002 Im sure Im really over thinking this...….sorry!)
  23. General question...… Have they changed the color of the seapass card for the Royal Suite Class? I know in the past Sky was the Plum Color and Star was the Deep Blue color. Recently I saw a post that someone had a Star Class card that was the Plum Color. Anyone have any insight?
  24. OK. I think Ive only been there maybe once or twice for lunches, but never on embarkation day. Never actually been to Sabor, may have to check that out. I did want to try a couple other places for lunches, but I saw that a few weren't open on embarkation day. I was actually thinking to do Playmakers on Sunday (Day 2) to catch the football games etc. (And its the first sea day) Chops may be what I end up going with. Some family members are going to get the key, so this will at least be one meal that we can have together, as Im going to try to avoid the MDR. I definitely have to make sure I mention the ice. Thank you. Didn't even think about that, especially since they would have just put it in there not long before. Im really big on water more than anything, so I have to make sure I have plenty of that in the room, too bad its only Evian
