We recently returned from our first cruise (June 9, 7-night sailing on Oasis of the Seas, from Barcelona) and we did NOT have a lobster night. Color us extremely disappointed, after all the good things we'd read here about 'Lobster Night.' Our room attendant was told it was because it was a mediterranean cruise, but even she didn't seem to believe that. I'm not sure what happened.

Thank you, all! I am so glad I found this site, with so many knowledgeable and friendly people. I'll have to do a bit of exploring, to learn more about the Familia and where the airport, the Famillia, and the ship are in relationship to each other. Luckily, we don't sail till next June.

We are flying into Barcelona the day before our European/Western Mediterranean cruise on the Oasis of the Seas. Any recommendations for a decent, reasonably-priced hotel for one night? Also, how would you suggest we get from the airport to the hotel, from the hotel to the ship, and from the ship to the airport when our cruise ends? For what it's worth, there are nine people in our group, and this is our first cruise. Any advice is much appreciated!
