Thank you very much for the recommendations! Luckily we have changed our dining to the Early Dinning Time. A tablet or phone will be on the ready with Sesame Street or Cocomelon to keep her distracted while we eat our meals. One of the first things we will do when onboard is reserve time slots in Adventure Ocean for her. When we go to our Specialty Restaurants, we will have her in Adventure Ocean. That way, my wife and I can enjoy the restaurant and have a Date Night. Those are few and far between these days. Would you recommend hitting up Adventure Ocean first to reserve time slots or going to a Specialty Restaurant first? Not sure what usually fills up quickly. This way we know what times we need to book at each place. So EXCITED that we are just a short span away from cruising once again!!!

I would definitely go directly to Adventure Ocean to book there first, that way you'll know when you'll be able to dine in the specialty restaurants.  Specialty restaurants can be a little more accommodating than Adventure Ocean because once their full, their full.

We are in the 80s day left category until embarkation!!! Wife and I haven’t been on a cruise since pre-pandemic and now we have grown the family by one. Taking our 1.5 year old daughter which will make the trip completely different but we are just as excited!! Have any of you traveled with children and if so any advice?

Hi! Today makes 69 days out!! It's getting close! My best recommendation is to bring a small stroller for your daughter. For me, entertainment at dinner was a must so I took an iPad that had NEW things to watch to keep them busy. I know, I'm not a believer in a video babysitter either but it sure made dinnertime easier and your fellow cruise guests will thank you! Also, earlier dining, unless my time dining works for your family then you can choose when to dine, because young children usually don't have much tolerance for late seating.

Excited to be on this cruise too!!  We are flying into Fort Lauderdale and staying at the Springhill Suites too but the one in Fort Lauderdale.  Just going to Uber to the port.

We changed our flight to fly into Miami but we are flying out of FLL to come home. We got a great deal at the Holiday Inn Brickell right across the street from Bayside Market Place by the cruise terminal. So excited we now have 69 days!!! We will Uber to the port also unless there is a shuttle from the hotel, which I haven't checked into yet! There is so much available to do at Bayside Market Place we thought it would be exciting to stay close to it.

If just looking for easy place to stay in non-tourist area, I like the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Miami Airport South, 6700 Northwest 7th Street, Miami, Florida 33126.  They have a free shuttle from MIA airport (~10 min).  Uber from hotel to port is about $25 (11 miles, ~ 25 min).

Thank you so much, I'll look into SpringHill Suites!

  5. Good afternoon fellow cruisers! We are finally getting closer to the cruise. Getting through the Holidays is making me anxious to start planning! Where is everyone staying in Miami? How are you getting from the airport to your Hotel? And to the port in Miami? It's been a minute since we've cruised out of Miami so I need everyone's opinion on where to stay that won't break the bank.

My fiancé and I are from North Carolina and are flying out of RDU. Let's start the party!
