  1. Hello all! I just stumbled across something that states that all of these rooms receive a complimentary soda package as well as a complimentary meal at Johnny Rockets? I'll be sailing on the Allure in May and have this room. Just wanted to verify with some of you that this is accurate as I was on the fence about buying a soda package and this will obviously make that choice for me!

    Thanks!

@WAAAYTOOO, usually adds this bit, but with the rules changing maybe this changes now.

I was told to go see the Casino Host/hostess on the first day/night, introduce yourself, tell them you are a 1st time Royal cruiser, so first time Casino Royal gambler, ask them the same questions above, most importantly, continue to go back and visit, letting them see your face etc.. By the end of the cruise they should recognize you and depending on your gambling habits throughout the week, you can ask if you have earned any perks from that cruise or for future cruises.

I did what I explained above and even though I didn't gamble very much, or I thought I hadn't, i received a cruise certificate as well as i called Casino Royal when i got home and received a discounted cruise on top of the certificate.

    Hope this helps, WAAAYTOOO, thoughts?

When you say that you dont think you gambled that much, what were you playing and betting?

    Thanks!

The first case you gave -- one of the existing four will be booted off as soon as the fifth signs on. Which one of the four is the question. I would guess it's whichever one logged on first (oldest login), but others here with more experience than my "none" could give a better answer on that part.

Are you 100% sure? I only ask because I have seen others, including Matt, say one has to log off first before another can log on.

  4. I've read a ton of conflicting posts on this forum about how it works if you buy a multi-device plan and want to get some clarification:

Let's say I buy a 4 device plan for 5 people, and 4 devices are currently connected. Person 5 wants to connect. Can person 5 just log in and it will "boot" someone off? Or does 1 of the current 4 have to log off first before person 5 can log in?

    Thanks!!!

  5. Good afternoon all! I'm about to book my Voom package for the Allure of the Seas trip we're taking in May and had a few questions:

    1) Current price is $15.99 a day. Is that the normal price or sale price? I don't see any sales banners on the Cruise Planner site.

    2) What's the lowest you have seen it go down to recently? I will book it now anyway and just cancel/re-book if it reduces but was curious as to what sales prices they run.

    3) Do they only have the Surf and Stream packages now? I don't see any "Surf Only" on there.

    Thanks!

Just an FYI, poker (the real poker...not talking about table games with "poker" in the name) is not a "rated" game so you will receive NO casino points while playing at the poker table.  BJ, absolutely, but not poker.

I wish I could give you a reliable answer to your question about "free" drinks but I cannot.  It seems that every casino on every ship has a different way of handling this AND the fact that the casino VIP program (called Club Royale) is in complete flux at the moment doesn't help.  In the old days (last year), once you accumulated 1000 points (pretty easy to do if you are playing at least a couple of hours every day) they would put the VIP sticker on your seapass card.  This sticker entitled you to pretty much unlimited free drinks while playing as well as the waiver of the 5% "convenience" fee for getting money on your seapass card.  It might still work that way.  I really have no way of knowing.  We will be on Allure next month so I will try and see if the new rules are out by then.  For those of us who have been members of CR for a while, it seems that they (meaning the casino emperors, whoever they are) are being somewhat more flexible with applying benefits we have enjoyed for a while, but the newer players are not quite so lucky, from what I have seen.  If you want to start talking casino discounts on cruises, that is a whole OTHER mess.  Not happy with what I'm seeing at all, there.  The drop dead date for the new program rollout is supposed to be 1 April so we'll see what happens then.

Thanks for the info! What is this 5% convenience fee you speak of? They charge 5% to load your card with money or to cash it out? Is there a way around it?

  7. I have not seen a lot of info on here about El Cid. How does it compare to Mr Sanchos and Nachi Cocum? Is it on par in terms of quality and service? I’m considering it as it is walking distance from the port.

    Thanks!

  8. Hello all! Will be going on the Allure of the Seas in May for a cruise and was curious how their casino perks worked? I know on other cruise lines you receive a unlimited drink pass after playing so much and hitting a certain threshold. Does RCCL do something like this as well? I play mostly blackjack and poker.

    Thanks!
