Subjectively, I'd suspect that there'd be less of a negative feeling about this post if the subject didn't insinuate that uncertainty around a cruise vacation is in some way a humanitarian crisis analogous to over 3 million people being uncertain of when they might get clean water, medical supplies, etc.

I don't think OP wishes malice on those affected by the hurricanes or is suggesting that their trip is somehow more important to the world than RCI aiding those victims and to suggest so really turns off new people from this site. Bottom line is OP is mad (albeit early) because RCI is using the ship OP will be on for aid efforts and casts doubt on their vacation plans. While it is admirable what RCI is doing (assuming its truly out of charity and they weren't given a government contract like Carnival was after Katrina), OP is a paying customer and has every right to be mad should their trip be affected (hopefully not the case).

HI everyone,  I was wondering if anyone has done the New England/Canada cruise from Baltimore? It really looks like such a nice and different cruise.  We are booked for Bermuda currently and then Bermuda in Sept 2018, the 2 Celebrity Eastern and Western in 2019 so thought this was nice. If anyone has done this I would appreciate any input. thank you so much!!

Hi Boston Babe, my wife and I did a 9 night cruise on Grandeur out of Baltimore almost two years ago to the day. We just got off a TA on Serenade (same class ship) and I can tell you with 100% certainty to book the Canada/New England cruise. Not only is the itinerary great (ours was: Portland Maine, Bar Harbor Maine, St Johns NB, Halifax NS, Boston) but the ship is also pretty fun too! Not sure if they have the same cruise director staff but ours was fantastic and there was always something to do on the ship and not just trivia either!

The headliner shows were great and we personally enjoyed that this was the only ship we've been on recently where they actually leave the hot tubs open late at night on cold evenings instead of closing them down at 7 pm. I would definitely do this cruise for sure. If you have any specific questions (things to do or see) just let me know.

We just went to our first mystery dinner during our recent TA on Serenade and overall I'd say it was just "okay" given the price you pay. I probably would not recommend doing it more than once since they don't change it up very often, at least on Serenade (same plot and suspect from 4 years ago). On that particular sailing it was in Giovanni’s Table and was around $70 pp so that's ~ $40 for wine pairings and the show. If you enjoy wine and can drink your money's worth during the dinner go for it, it might even make the jokes a little bit funnier.
