Courtney.9 Posted June 4, 2023 Report Share Posted June 4, 2023 We are looking to explore St.Maarten on our own when we dock and was wondering what beach everyone would recommend. We have a 3 and 5 year old and would like to have something to eat and maybe some light shopping. Any activities you’d recommend instead of a beach day? Peter D Posted June 8, 2023 Report Share Posted June 8, 2023 In my opinion, the easiest thing to do is take the water taxi over to Philipsburg. The beach there is decent and there are plenty of places to eat and shop. The potential downside is the cost of the beach chairs (but not needed if you like) and the beach vendors (people peddling stuff, but will take no for answer). I'd also recommend the 'Yoda guy' museum in Philipsburg as alternative to beach day, but it might not be that interesting to 3 and 5 year old.
