Friday Photos

Welcome to this week's edition of Friday Photos, where we share our readers' Royal Caribbean photos with all of you.

To me, this weekly feature is an opportunity to enjoy a quick "mental escape" to a Royal Caribbean cruise vacation.  Let's get started with this week's batch!

Our first photo is from Kyle, who sent us this photo of Turtle Cove snorkeling excursion in St. Thomas. On a pirate ship! This be a fun excursion, says I!

Next is a photo from Ken Slusser from his January 2013 Allure of the Seas cruise.  It's a night shot that shows off how the Boardwalk area really lights up so incredibly when it's dark out.  Beautiful!

Alison sent us this photo of Voyager of the Seas in Sydney, Australia earlier this year.  Sydney harbor is such a beautiful backdrop for these Royal Caribbean cruises.

How about another Sydney photo this week? Wes Brown sent in this photo of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and Fort Dennison as seen from stern of Radiance of the Seas as she departs Sydney.  Great shot Wes!

Here's a photo of my new found favorite Royal Caribbean ship, Navigator of the Seas, while she was docked in Roatan, Honduras in May.  Jennifer Bever took this photo on her Maya Key shore excursion.  What I wouldn't give to be there right now!

Next up is a photo from Matt Carrera of his son Colton watching the sea roll by on their Jewel of the Seas cruise.  I don't care how old you are, watching the ocean pass by never gets old.

I love this photo of Oasis of the Seas docked in St. Thomas that Mary sent in.  Sweeping photos like this really put in perspective how beautiful the island is and how big Oasis of the Seas is!

Last, but not least, Michael Poole sent in this photo of the R Bar on Brilliance of the Seas.  Michael noted he wishes he was having a drink right now there, and I couldn't agree more.

That wraps up this week's post but we want your Royal Caribbean cruise photos too!  Send them to us by using this form and we will be sure to include it an upcoming post!

Another Friday is here and that means we are sharing our readers great Royal Caribbean cruise photos with all of you. Each and every week, we showcase the Royal Caribbean photos our readers send to us.  Let's jump into this week's batch!

First up this week is a photo by Ken Slusser of his banner "Carolina Cruise-saders" that he hung on deck 9 balcony bump on Independence of the Seas while on his March 2014 cruise.  Love the creativity!

Next is a photo by Nick of sunrise on their way to Bermuda on Explorer of the Seas. I haven't found a sunrise photo I didn't like!

Here we have a photo from Dirk of the Serenade of the Seas in the port of Cartagena, Spain from May 2014.  Bueno!

Kyle from D.C. sent this photo of "Lady O" in St. Thomas.  I really like the colors in this shot.

Here we have the Dreamworks parade as seen from Alison's Royal Promenade stateroom on Voyager of the Seas.

The Cruise Buddies, from Pennsylvania, British Columbia and Louisiana line up for their Crown and Anchor cruise point photo on the Brilliance of the Seas transatlantic crossing to Harwich. Cruising with a group is always fun and this looks like a great group!

That wraps things up for this week's batch of photos but be sure to send us your Royal Caribbean photos and we will feature them in an upcoming post!

Happy Memorial Day weekend!  We're starting this weekend with our readers' favorite Royal Caribbean cruise photos.  Each week we invite our readers to share their photos with us!

Our first photo this week is from Ken Slusser and it's of the new cabanas recently added to Adrenaline Beach in Labadee.  I can tell you from first hand experience that napping on a beach couch is the way to experience Labadee!

Krystal Sullivan sent in this photo of Horseshoe Bay in Bermuda, from her Explorer of the Seas cruise. Her husband took this panoramic photo of the ocean and the color looks gorgeous!

Here's another photo from an Explorer of the Seas cruise to Bermuda.  Kelly Tarman sent in this photo from Southampton Parish, which is the Queen's View.  Kelly says this view, "was made famous by Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 when she visited Bermuda following her coronation. If you look in the distance you can see Explorer of the Seas in all her glory."

Next is a photo from Dirk of his view from Serenade of the Seas in St. Maarten when Allure of the Seas gave him a huge good-bye.  Note the crew members under the Allure name with the prop!

SK Goh sent us this photo of the view of Port Klang as seen from Mariner of the Seas' Windjammer back in January.  Hard to beat breakfast with a view like that.

Lastly, we have this photo from Steven Brinkman from his Navigator of the Seas cruise last month. Wish I was back on her right now.

We want your Royal Caribbean photos too! Use this form to send us your favorite photos and we will include it in an upcoming blog post.

When the calendar says Friday that means it's time to share Royal Caribbean photos our readers have sent in to us to share.  Each week we invite everyone reading our blog to send us their favorite Royal Caribbean photos.  Let's see what we have this week!

First up is this photo of Ken and Noelle Slusser while they were in the Windjammer on Independence of the Seas during their March 14 cruise.  Great background of the ocean!

Next is a photo by Nick from his cruise to Bermuda taken underground in the Crystal Caves.  I had no idea Bermuda had caves like this!

Here's a photo by Hunter Raines during sailaway in Port Everglades while on Liberty of the Seas.  I love sailway because that is exactly when your cruise really begins.

Jeremy sent us this photo of the Strings ice show on Independence of the Seas.  The ice shows are always an impressive display.

I really like this photo of Jewel of the Seas anchored in Bar Harbor, Maine back in 2012 by Kenneth R. Scott.  I'd love to do a New England cruise someday and this photo reinforces that notion.

Lastly, we have this photo by Jeremy of the "Come Fly With Me" show on Oasis of the Seas from April 2013.  Jeremy wrote it was an "awesome show" and I couldn't agree more!

I think we have yet another great set of photos this week and I invite you to send us your favorite Royal Caribbean photos by using this form.  Have a great weekend!

Let's start the weekend off with some great Royal Caribbean photos by our readers.  Each week we ask our readers to send us their photos and here's just a few that we have to show off this week.

Hunter Raines sent us this week's first photo from Margaritaville in Falmouth, with Liberty of the Seas in the background.  Now that is what I call a view!

Next is a photo from Nick in the Viking Crown lounge on Explorer of the Seas.  I love spending time here and enjoying a drink or two.  You cannot beat the view!

Next is a photo of sunset while on Liberty of the Seas in Cozumel by John Siegmund.  Great shot John!

Jeremy sent us this photo of Strings ice show on Independence of the Seas.  I love the ice shows Royal Caribbean puts on because it's always an impressive display.

Let's go to this photo next by Steven Brinkman of the Royal Promenade on Navigator of the Seas.  Steven said he took this photo during a port day because he wanted photo without lots of guests in the background.  Mission accomplished!

Last, but no least, is this photo by Ken Slusser of his selfie with Jeff Eaton, cruise director on Independence of the Seas during his March 2014 cruise.  Love how "into it" these cruise directors get!

Thank you to everyone who sent in photos and don't forget that we want to see your photos too.  Use our form to send us your favorite Royal Caribbean photos and we will share them in an upcoming Friday Photos post!

Friday Photos (on Saturday)

03 May 2014

This weeks' Friday Photos is actually being posted on Saturday.  Better late than never, right?  If you ask me, it's never too late to show off our readers favorite Royal Caribbean photos so let's get this week's batch started!

First up we have a photo from John Siegmund of the sunrise off the Florida Coast while Explorer of the Seas was sailing to Port Canaveral, Florida.  Love that color!

Ken Slusser sent us this photo of Independence of the Seas anchored in Georgetown, Grand Cayman during his March 2014 cruise.  Wish I was enjoying this view right now!

Speaking of Grand Cayman, Stacy Mogle sent this photo while on an excursion visiting Hell on a Freedom of the Seas cruise.  The little lizard started walked directly to the center and she was able to snap the pic before he ran away.  This photo looks like it ought to be in National Geographic!

Nick has this great night shot of Explorer of the Seas while on a recent trip to Bermuda taken on the sports deck.  These night shots are so much fun to enjoy.

Did I mention ealier I wanted to be somewhere?  Well, here's definitely a spot I'd love to be back, Cozumel!  Phil Catarella took this photo of Ellen returning to Brilliance of the Seas after a great day, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming and relaxing.

Steven Brinkman sent this photo in of Navigator of the Seas, which is one of my favorite Royal Caribbean ships.  Looks like another beautiful day on Navigator of the Seas!

We want to include your photos too! Send us your best Royal Caribbean photos using this form and we will post them for all to enjoy.

When Friday rolls around, then we are sharing our readers' best Royal Caribbean photos that they sent in and it's your opportunity to take a "virtual trip" right now to a Royal Caribbean cruise. Let the day dreaming begin!

Our first photo is from Giulio Saggin of Rhapsody of the Seas departing Fisherman Islands in Brisbane, Australia just as a plane is coming in for a landing.  Talk about an action shot!

Here we have a photo of Ronald Estall who could not resist the ice cream on Allure of the Seas, even if it wasn't real.  He did report that it did not taste as good as he thought it would (can't imagine why).

Steven Brinkman sent us this photo of Navigator of the Seas while anchored off Grand Cayman just a few weeks ago! Wish I was there right now.

Here's a photo of AJ Dreyer as Brilliance of the Seas passes under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in St. Petersburg, Florida.  AJ says this was his first time seeing a cruise ship go under a bridge and he thought it was pretty cool.  AJ, you are 100% correct!

I love this panoramic shot of the Aqua Theater right before a showing of Aqua Aria on Allure of the Seas by John McCormack.

Last we have Oasis of the Seas departing Port Everglades on March 7, 2014 by Ken Slusser.  What a view!

This was another great week of Royal Caribbean photos and if you have a Royal Caribbean photo or two that you want to share, please use this form to send us them all! Have a great weekend!

Friday is here and that means we're sharing our reader's favorite Royal Caribbean cruise photos to give the rest of us a little "cruise fix" until our next cruise.  Let's see what we have this week.

Jared sent us this photo from St. Maarten with a number of cruise ships in port, including Independence of the Seas, which is on the right. I love to compare ships when in port and this is a great view!

John McCormack sent us this photo of the cast of the Ice Games show on Allure of the Seas. Love the shows in the evening!

How about a black and white photo of Oasis of the Seas by Connor De La Pena? A black and white photo here and there is always a nice change.

How about another photo of Independence of the Seas? Here's one from Jeremy from the pool deck and boy, do I wish I was looking at this right now!

Frank Battiston sent in this great sunset photo from Allure of the Seas.  It was taken on his Aqua Theater Suite deck and it looks amazing!

Last, but not least, we have this photo by John Siegmund of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge sailing into Cape Liberty on morning of departure on Explorer of the Seas. Great view!

Thank you to everyone who sent in photos and don't forget that we want to see your photos too.  Use our form to send us your favorite Royal Caribbean photos and we will share them in an upcoming Friday Photos post!

We've reached the weekend and this best weekends begin with a collection of Royal Caribbean photos our readers sent in.  We have a great batch to share this week, so let's get it started.

Ken Slusser sent us this photo of Independence of the Seas and Allure of the Seas docked alongside each other in Falmouth, Jamaica.  I'm always amazed when the Oasis class ships can make the Freedom class ships look small.

Next we have a photo from Giulio Saggin of people crammed into the elevator on Voyager of the Seas back in 2012.  Giulo also blogged about his experience here.

I love this photo of Voyager of the Seas' pool deck at night by Alison.  Night swims are the best swims!

Next is a photo by Murray of Radiance of the Seas while anchored at Airlie Beach in Queensland, Australia.  Crikey!

Speaking of anchored Royal Caribbean ships, here's Explorer of the Seas docked in San Juan by Julia Wadsworth.  Love the old schooner in the foreground!

If you prefer photos of Royal Caribbean ships on the move, try this one by Dan Kohout of Liberty of the Seas entering the channel at Port Everglades on February 24th 2014.  I love the colors in this photo and the great contrast.

Thank you to everyone who sent us photos this week and if you haven't sent us your Royal Caribbean photo yet, please use this form to send them in so it can be featured here!

Happy Friday everyone! We have another great assortment of Royal Caribbean photos our readers have sent in to us to share with all of you.  This is always so much fun to do so thank you to everyone who makes this weekly post possible!

Our first photo is from Ken Sussler in Labdee while on his Independence of the Seas sailing in March.  I think Ken has inspired me for a photo opportunity on the Royal Caribbean Blog group cruise!

Connor De La Pena sent in this photo and he didn't indicate what ship this is from but since all of his other photos he has sent in were from Oasis of the Seas, I'll guess it's also from Oasis of the Seas.

I am a sucker for sunset photos and lens flares photos so this Liberty of the Seas photo from Laura Metzler is my favorite photo ever.

Eilika Trummar sent in this photo of the suite balconies on Allure of the Seas and I think it's a great example of composition and with the sunset in the background, you know it has my approval.

John McCormack sent in this photo of Legend of the Seas and two other ships vie for berthing space in St. Kitts. February, 2014.

Hunt sent in this photo of himself, his sister and her husband and Hunt's  dear friend Jeffrey, Arrrrrg!

We want to include your Royal Caribbean photos too! Send them in with this form and we will include it in an upcoming Friday Photos post!
