It is refundable cash credit. You can also go to guest services and cash it out at any point of the cruise. -

Interesting. We did the land and sea on the Radiance last year and the land excursions were available in our cruise planner. But we did book the trip in 2023. It may be a thing that Royal hasn't confirmed the land excursions for your trip yet. Perhaps a call to Royal might confirm this.

Icon class not independent Family friendly
ChrisK2793 replied to Generalchadwick's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We were a group of 15 on Icon in February…….. 8 adults and 7 kids. All the kids except 1 were 11 to 14. The other 1 was 4, it was a HUGE INCONVENIENCE that for the 4 year old to use the kid’s pool area, 1 or both of her parents had to be 6 floors below the rest of the group and their older kid. I totally agree …….. putting the little kids pool area down there was the most stupid idea ever. -

I don't think it is refundable. However, you can transfer it to a slot machine in the casino and then cash out. -

I don't recall the courtesy reservation actually showing up anywhere visible. It's just in the system. When you board and go to make the rest of your reservations, it should be there (and can be changed at that time).

We did an Alaskan cruise with a land tour last year (and back in 2016). The land tour will not show up in the cruise planner but it will show up on the cruise itinerary portion of your cruise vacation receipt. Any excursions that will be available on the land portion will be told to you on the first day of the tour. Your tour guide will have the information and you will pay them. Enjoy both the cruise and the land tour.

royal caribbean change the cruise itinerary
teddy replied to kjack's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
While anything is possible, I doubt you can get a complete refund...at least in the US. I don't know about other countries. Royal Caribbean has covered themselves in their terms and conditions. You can select your country and read here: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/guest-terms/primary-country-of-residence/ Here are the specifics for cruises booked in the United States as they relate to itinerary changes . -
royal caribbean change the cruise itinerary
Xtentions replied to kjack's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Your available options would be in the email you received telling you of the port cancelation. Generally when a single port is changed they will not refund the entire cruise but they sometimes will. -
royal caribbean change the cruise itinerary
WAAAYTOOO replied to kjack's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Sometimes. When a change of itinerary is announced, there will be options for you to consider. Sometimes, refund is an option, but not normally. -
There was no option to change ships/itineraries on my letter yesterday.

Royal caribbean change the cruise itinerary to a destination I do not want to go, can I get a refund not a credit but a refund? the travel is scheduled for June 6, 2024

Let me preface this by saying I have not been on Icon this is just observations. I'll be on Star September 2025. First off generally the class looks family friendly what Im talking about is the independence side of it. What I mean by not independent family friendly is for example on sea days on let's say Oasis Class ship, DW and I can post up in chairs at the beach pool and we feel confident to let our DDs (6 and 11) go play in the kids pool area right next door and do the slides while we can relax. Where as the splash area for my 6 yo is all the way down in the boardwalk isolated from other water stuff my 11 yo would want to do and doesn't have the same relaxing atmosphere as the beach pool does. This isn't at all a deal breaker for me just an observation. And I get that there are people that want those items separated to this degree. I will try to remember to come back and comment on this after we sail.

My purse arrived, and I was a little disappointed, but not surprised, that the pattern was not aligned as in the photo. However, when I opened the flap, she was waiting for me! I have no idea why I find this so amusing, but I'm taking votes on names. I mentioned to DH last night that I want some dance sneakers for the ship, and he jumped onboard. I know this may seem weird, but cruising is actually our second obsession. Our biggest concern wearing our usual dance shoes is water or spilled drinks on the floor because they have suede soles. Getting them wet would break down the glue, or cause long term sticking or slipping issues in the case of a spilled drink. Because of that, we leave the cabin in our everyday shoes and carry our dance shoes with us to change into when we want to dance on the ship. It's a little inconvenient to carry them around when we want to also do other things like go to a show or hit the casino without dropping them off at the room first. Plus we still have to worry about someone spilling a drink on the dance floor. I rationalized that I could wear a hard sole dance sneaker around the the ship, and I can use them to teach in this fall - I'm teaching dance at our co-op next semester. Anyway, we're meeting up to buy some for both of us this morning when our local(ish) dance store opens at 11. I'm sure this seems nuts to most of you, but we all have that one thing, right? This also happened yesterday! One more to go!

Are they offering an option to change ships/itineraries instead without penalty, or are they just rerouting you guys to new ports with no option to make change? Just curious. Two years ago we had an itinerary change with Odyssey and they sent an email stating we could change ships/itineraries with no issue if we weren't happy with the updated itinerary, but in our situation they cut us from 7 nights to 6 nights and we lost Labadee port.

Glad you had fun - we would like to try lunch at Hibachi, but we are not looking for sushi. Do they do the hibachi cooking at lunch, or is it just sushi?

Don't over think it. You'll have a good time.

onboard credit from the credit card

I thought the credit card OBC was one of the few that would get refunded if it doesn't get used.
