chrisd596
When planning this cruise, any suggestions on coordinating the roundtrip flights from Philly or Newark ...especially with concern on making a return flight on the day the ship returns. Any tips you might have we be appreciated. Also any suggestions on the cruise itinerary would be great as well. Looking for a late August cruise. Thanks Chris
Oliver
My number one advise is to arrive a day ahead so you’re not stressed about missing the cruise. And as far and making the trip back I think it will depend on which ship and itenerary you end up picking. I’m going to Alaska next July on the Ovation of the Seas. It’s a round trip out of Seattle. That might make it easier for you on the way back. You could also do a Northbound or Southbound from either Vancouver or Anchorage on Radiance of the Seas. Coming back to Phily from Anchorage could be a nightmare but maybe Vancouver isn’t so bad
KJ1231
We did the Southbound from Seward to Vancouver on Radiance. We flew into Anchorage on Wednesday night for a Friday sailing so we had all day Thursday to check out Anchorage and recover from the flight. Well worth it. For flights, we originally booked Philly to LA and LA to Anchorage on American. They changed the flights to Philly to Phoenix (5 hours) and Phoenix (5+ hours) to Anchorage. We flew home from Vancouver on red-eye to Chicago. Had time for breakfast at O'Hare before the flight home. We had checked the itineraries out of Seattle and preferred the Radiance. We didn't do a land tour.

twangster
Are you thinking about a Seattle round trip or a one-way North/South cruise?
DRLPP
A few years back did the north bound to Seward out of Vancouver. Pittsburgh to Chicago to Seattle two nights ahead of cruise. lots to see in Seattle and Vancouver. Spent one day in Seattle and took a transfer bus over to vancouver and did another day. Well worth it. At that time RC had a morning tour and transfer to ship in which they handled the luggage all the way from hotel to room which made boarding very easy. At Seward we took train to Anchorage and flew out late that night to Seattle to Chicago to Pittsburgh. Strongly recommend arriving at least a full day before cruise. RBRSKI
We are booked on the Radiance 6/7/19 Southbound! We are flying out of FLL-ANC 6/5 thu DTW & SEA, couldn't get too picky because using miles for four people is CRAZY. Return staying the night in Vancouver 6/14 then driving to Seattle with a stop at the Boeing Factory. Staying in Seattle until 6/17 flying home SEA-MIA thru DFW. Let all the other planning begin. Rob Lovell
Last year we did a 12 day Mediterranean cruise on the Brilliance. For the plane trip to Barcelona, we used RC Air to Sea & it was great. The prices were much better that we could find on our own & they guaranteed that the flight would get up to the ship on time and the return flight meshed perfectly with disembarkation.
