rjac
I can't remember the name of the Diamond and above dining room (temporary case of crs....can't remember sh*t). What time is dinner served, is it a buffet, do you need a reservation, what other meals are served there? Thanks!
twangster
No diamond dining area. The diamond club has finger foods during the nightly happy hour. Some nights on Anthem they had wings in the DL and that became dinner. Sweety

Atlantix2000
You might be thinking of Coastal Kitchen on the large ships but that's for guests in suites. That's a sit down restaurant. rjac
bobroo
You also may be remembering when up to just a few years ago that suite guests and diamond and above were seated in their own area of the MDR. It usually was in a corner of one of the top floors. No name for it, just a section of the MDR. There would be a small podium with a staff member being the gatekeeper to keep the riff raff out. The menus and portions were different there. Lobster night was truly lobster night. Of course that's where the better waitstaff was before they earned a promotion to a Chops or Portofinos. Formal nights were elegant because everyone seated in those areas participated., IMO, those were the last days when the MDR was a grand experience and lived up to the tradition of using white table cloths. MDR today???......ahh, nobody wants to hear a grumpy old man complain about what used to be..... 3trinitythree and Deedeelynn 1

WAAAYTOOO
We were very surprised to find that on the Grandeur this week they have a Diamond breakfast area in the MDR (deck 4). I haven’t seen one of these in YEARS. It was really nice. We had the cutest set of identical twins from India who worked the Diamond breakfast area every morning. One of them was named Yogi (his full name was much longer but the “Yogi” part was obvious and that name had apparently stuck with him for years). I really never figured out what his identical brother’s name actually was, but b/c Yogi was Yogi, it was unavoidable that his brother is known as Boo-Boo. OMG were they cute. I thought they had completely done away with the D breakfast area. It was nice to have it back - at least for this week on Lady G.
