Bobbyd68
Is the refreshment package, at a cost of $214.00 for the children worth it? Are there free soda or juice stations around the ship?
twangster
No free soda. Free beverage options include water, lemonade, usually another juice that varies day to day, tea and coffee. Buffet has milk as well, orange juice at breakfast. If your kids like a particular juice that you can bring in powder form you can make your own. I often bring Gatorade powder with me. DocLC
If your kids drink a lot of soda, then it might be worth it. Alternatively, you can carry on a 12 pack or two for consumption onboard. Technically, it's against the written rules, but I've never been stopped in the past several years on many ships across multiple ports. Juice is available in the mornings and lemonade is readily available. There's usually some type of flavored water, too.
melski94
Did you look at the soda package vs the refreshment package? The soda package is about $9 per day and if your kids don't care about freshly squeezed OJ or virgin cocktails then I'd go with the soda package. Matt
FWIW, my kids find plenty to drink around the ship that is complimentary. As others noted, soda is not complimentary, but between the flavored waters, lemonade, milk and juice at breakfast, it seems to be more than adequate. Keeves
Iced tea is also free. (I'm not sure if that counts as "flavored water".)
