MaryCS62
For our upcoming Anthem cruise, (Jan 2019), we are currently 3 people, & JS 9218, according to RCL's website, has teh symbols for 3rd pullman bed avail and for sofabed avail. I'm hoping this is a stupid question, but does that mean it has both? Main reason I'm asking is that DD traveling with us is disabled, so sofabed would be ok, but definitely not the pullman bed ! Also, there's a chance we will be adding other DD, who would not want to share a sofa bed with her sister, but could sleep in the pullman. Thanks for any help you can offer!! Not sure if you follow the live blogs at all but I was in the same room category (a few doors down from yours) on Anthem in March. Here's the live blog. Lots of pics of the room and bed set up in the blog. Yes, it has the sofa bed and the pullman from the ceiling. And lots of space!

All those reports of the weather makes me a little nervous -- we're sailing in January!! However, it's a 12 day to the southern Caribbean, so hopefully will have warmer weather for the bulk of it. Just one other question -- I noticed a lot of Coastal Kitchen dinners, & I know for JS it's by availability only -- did you have any trouble getting in? Can that be reserved ahead of time (like MTD, or the specialty restaurants), or is it just luck of the draw? I didn't like the 530 dinner time that we had on the cruise we just finished (Adventure of the Seas), plus, since we were in the 4th floor dining room, most of the time we ended up walking through the casino (hate the smoke), so I'd like to avoid that if possible. From what I know, the weather is pretty unpredictable when sailing out of NJ. @twangster will have more insight on that, he recently sailed the 12 night on Anthem to the southern Caribbean. On Anthem, you seem to be able to make reservations online through your cruise planner. On Oasis class ships, you cannot. Keep an eye out, it will show up in your cruise planner under Dining. For us, it was there at about 170 days out but when I tried to book it wouldn't allow me to. Then, it disappeared completely as an option. A few weeks later, it came back again and I was able to book all 8 nights. I have heard that some people have trouble getting into CK on OA class while staying in a JS. However, I have heard no such complaints about Anthem. You will love CK. Whenever we have access to it, we skip the MDR. The last few cruises, we have booked suites just so we have access to CK. That's how much we like it. Currently, @JLMoran is watching his cruise planner for booking CK. He sails in October so keep an eye out for his posts to give you a better timeline. I did 19 nights on Anthem in December, a 7 followed by a 12 night B2B. I live blogged here: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/5068-anthem-112517-712-b2b/ In January I did another 9 nights and live blogged here: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/5387-anthem-11919-9-night-bahamas/ Between the 3 cruises I sailed up or down the coast 6 times, 3 down, 3 up. I recall talking in my blogs about the dreaded "long pants day". Fortunately Anthem is a perfect cold weather ship with a huge indoor pool that is kid friendly plus a huge adult only solarium. It's a nice solarium too. I wasn't in a suite though, that would have been sweet!
