coneyraven
Each guest has their own account ..... then it's calculated as 1 point per night (unless in a Suite, then it's two points per night) georgeh
tiny260
Per room, and booked to each Crown and Anchor persons member number, So my wife and I both are C&A members, I get 1 point per cruise night on my number and she gets 1 point per cruise night on her number, that way we both enjoy the benefits of C&A. You get 2 points per night for a suite. georgeh

RaleighTrout
So after my 5 night cruise (first time on RCI), I will have 5 pts. How many pts does it take to get some sort of a benefit, and do the points expire?
monctonguy
If you travel and book a regular cabin(not a studio cabin) you get double points when you travel solo as well. You start getting benefits right away. the points do not expire(not as of now anyways) and to be honest, the real perks IMHO are once you hit emerald level and then diamond and higher... henrysea13

Hutcherl
We hit diamond after our cruise next month. 27 days to be exact. Biggest benefit I see is the 3 drink coupon per night. I’m a drink package person so not sure of the value for me. Would love to be able to eliminate the drink package purchase. Not sure with the restrictions of the coupons that I allow be able to eliminate it. I’ll evaluate my consumption more closely during our up coming cruise. twangster
Attached to this post is a PDF with the sort of on-board offers as a Gold you can expect. Gold members on some ships and some terminals will get to board before new, never-cruised-Royal before guests. Crown and Anchor is actually a pretty good rewards program compared to other cruise lines, even before hitting Diamond. June May
Rather excited to realise that I'll be at Platinum after my next two cruises - I had for some reason thought that it was a long jump from Gold to the next level. monctonguy
I have contemplated doing a reposition cruise solo to get to diamond.....at 2 pts a night your looking easily at 30 pts or more depending on the itinerary of the ship...pretty good way to jump levels and the prices on those cruises are usually pretty good. We'll see what happens after I do my next 2 cruises and hit emerald. But that would be a pretty cheap and easy way to climb the points scale. twangster

You will be automatically enrolled after you complete your first sailing with Royal Caribbean (applies to US Residents). Membership benefits begin after you have completed at least one Royal Caribbean International cruise. Basically you create your RC account, link your past cruises and dunzo. fonemanbob
With the threat of the points possibly changing we are booking enough cruises to get us to the next level over the next 1 1/2 years. They grandfathered us in b/c we had already booked our requisite cruises when they made the change.
mk-ultra
One thing I haven't seen mentioned here is the extra points awarded if you're cruising solo. I cruise with friends, but I snore like a freight train... so I always get myself a solo cabin. I wasn't aware until recently that you get double points if you're paying the solo supplement. They definitely weren't being awarded to my C&A account. I also usually get a JS or above which doubles points, so the point breakdown for a 7 night solo cruise in a suite is: Base points: 7 Suite points: 7 Solo points: 7 I called RCI's Casino Royale agent to ask if I was correct in assuming my past 7 day cruises should have received 21 points instead of 14. Indeed, they should have. The agent fixed that in five minutes and I got a 21 point bump out of it. If you're cruising solo, definitely keep an eye on this as it looks like their systems doesn't automatically handle it. All 3 of my recent 7 day cruises we're shorted 7 points. Under the current C&A rules, once a tier level is attained (even if it is “inherited” from a parent or significant other), they retain that tier level forever or until they attain the next higher level on their own, based on actual cruise points earned.
