Having been on Symphony's Maiden voyage I got to try Hooked restaurant, we had this booked up for day 5 of the cruise at 8pm. the restaurant was fairly busy but we were seated in good time and met the waiter Robert who was outstanding. I've attached some images for you all to drool over.

These were a sort of pre starter, very hard to explain what they are but it was like breadcrumb / cheese straw but in a cluster .... whatever they were they were scrumptious

Calamari which was not rubbery in the slightest

Muscles in a white wine sauce, one gripe was that the pot was a little too deep to get the remaining sauce out but I got there in the end

Shrimp Coktail, pretty standard really but my father in Law ate it all!

Clam Chowder ... faultless

well and truly HOOKED for hooked

overall as I've heard a few say the menu could have some improvements I guess but its very early doors for Hooked but I can certainly see it being a hit on other ships in the future.

Were those homemade potato chips with your fiancee's lobster roll? I'd go there in a heartbeat if they make their own chips and they're good!

Pics were making my mouth water. I'll have to hope that they bring Hooked to other ships as part of refurbishments; I don't see myself boarding an Oasis class any time soon, too many other US itineraries to try that aren't served by O class.

Hope they bring it other ships as well. Just have a hard time seeing where it could in other ships without major impact. Only thought would be maybe replacing an existing specialty.

Thanks for the update and pics......for anyone who likes seafood it looks like it would be appealing for sure and a nice option(personally just the smell of seafood makes me lose my appetite)

I am defn hoping you can post something like this for your experience at Playmakers! :)

hmmm I'm not too sure, I didn't even try one :( I'm feeling like I missed out now but I was simply too full to eat another morsel. she did say they were great though!

I wouldn't mind Hooked replacing Chops on a couple of ships!

(let the flames begin!)

I totally agree I was excited to try chops but when I did wow what a letdown for me and my party the service was pitiful at best food was not good I have had better steaks in the MDR even on the same cruise I for one will not pay the price again I found the experience at giovanis and the food far superior the wait staff brought (if you close your eyes) you to a small ristorante in Italy the flavors WOW cant wait to go back I love seafood and would gladly trade chops for hooked chops just doesn't hold a candle to ruth chris or peter luger please its just me and my families opinion

X2, to the man near Ormond :) @henrysea13

We had a 4 pack on a 5 nighter on Independence on her last sail b/4 refurb. Went to Chops but once, wifey says " no more" and we did Giovanni's 3 nights and it was fab. The Italian crepes were to die  for as was chocolate cake for dessert. So, it's seems like many are giving Chops the "hook."
